Armors with Hoods/Cowls

Why don't we have them?
Doesn't SE like us tanks?

It's something I want badly as it can look so sick.


It's even in the game yet I've not been able to find anything of the sort.


Am I blind or have SE forgotten us?

This morning I clicked on revommended gear on my DRK and it suggested a cowl over my armor. Guess these are already in game then!

I'd like to know what choices we have in this rather limited and underappreciated category.

Uh aetherial linen cowl. I wouldn't recommend it.

Ah yeah but that is body and hood in one, not really useful for any practical glamour at all.
Besides that body is not exactly what I would call "armored" either.

There's the xenobian hood from Castrum Abania and chain coifs from all over A Realm Reborn. But nothing quite like what you linked.

I want a hood too, like on the cowl, but without the cowl. There's hoods in game but they look more like just a cloth draped over your head and none are for tanks.

I think the closest you'll get right now is the xenobian hood from castrum Abania and that can't be dyed and has some stupid fur on it.

I just googled the xenobian hood and wow, it's like they added that fur just to spite us or something.

EDIT: Turns out you can /Visor the fluff on the xenobian hood. Now we just need to be able to dye it. But who am I kidding, I'm getting it anyway.
