    /r Should automatically change to /tell <username>

    /r are is a risky thing when talking to more than 1 person. as it will reply to the last person who messaged you. If you happen to reply to someone right as someone else messages you, then you end up replying to the wrong person.

    Use your "Reply Temporarily (Forward)" keybind instead. /keybind menu, Chat tab.

    It does what you're asking for.

    Default is alt+r to cycle through tell recipients, alt+shift+r to cycle backwards.
    Like Rongway mentioned, you can change the keybinds to your liking.
