PS4 PRO boost mode

Hello PS4 and PS4 PRO user, i have a question about the boost mode for the ps4 pro. So it turns out sony gives us an update and also give us the option to increase the experience of certain games. One thing that got me worry is that it gives you a warning that says "Turn this off if you experience unexpected behavior during gameplay," now this is a big bad sign for me since i don't really want to mess up the game. So what are the things i should expect if i update this the boost mode option and what are the "unexpected behavior" i should expect?

This game has had a PRO patch. Boost mode will do nothing.

I think prior to having the game patched, XIV played worse on the Pro than it did a standard PS4.

The 1080p option of PS4 Pro is far better from the standard ps4, specially on busy places, but if you change to the 4K resolution, yes it is worse than standard ps4 @1080p, and the 4K resolution option it’s not that great, because it’s upscaled

I have the boost mode active and I have zero issues with ffxiv or any other game so far

Before they implemented a PS4 pro patch boost made made it a uncapped 1080p that could hit 60fps in some locations however now they have a pro patch (that gives the PS4 dx11 shaders) the boost mode will do nothing. Boost mode only works with games without a PS4 pro compatability patch

Maybe slight OT but I moved to PC around SB came out. I tried to play on PS4 the other week. Game felt litterally unplayable.

Obviously on PC i play with constant 60 FPS (locked to 60 in client settings) but on PS4 it feels laggy and slow. Is the PS4 unable to maintain 60?

Not in high stress areas. S tier hunts, heavily populated areas, and anything like that you'll see a performance drop. In any content like dungeons, raids, instance areas, it'll perform just fine.
