An in-game Memory Log

I've just suggested this in-game, but I will post my suggestion here as well. I don't know if anyone has suggested this before, so my apologies if so.

Can you please add a Memory Log under the "Log"-tab? A place where a person can write important information they want to remember while playing? It can have the same design as the other logs/journal, where you can add chapters and pages as you see fit for remembering things without having to alt+tab or have 2 screens.

It will be nice for crafters, gatherers, raiders, lvlers, basically everyone I think people will love this idea. They have a similar thing in Aion, but you can make it look very original the way I just described The Memory Log also needs to have a save ability so you can relog without losing information. Maybe even also be able to have item links, location links etc inside this log.

Some people I have talked to about this idea LOVES it.

Please think about it.

EDIT: It could even be named Diary, Memoirs, Annals. There are many names, some better than others, that you could use to make it fit perfectly into the game. It doesn't even have to be under the "Log"-tab. It can also be under the "Character"-tab, seeing it's a notebook for the character.

A sidequest for it would be really good as well. Before you do the quest, the name of it will be grayed out, and it could have a really nice story to it. An NPC f.ex has a quest, and the quest could f.ex be called something like: Annals of a new Era, or Memoirs of a new Era, or Once Upon a Time. Endless possibilities.

I would love this. I use an actual notebook (or my phone if it is something quick) right now, but I would make -extensive- use of an in-game notepad.

Great idea San! If they also implemented an option to access recipes and create checklists with type of ingredients and amount required would be super handy for all crafters and gatherers out there!

You could just use /echo or /e and keep a tab dedicated to just that.

This is what I currently do, but it isn't persistent if you need to log out or get 90ked.

Personally i use Google Drive if i need to keep track of important information in regards to, (relic) progression, Inventory for crafting recipes, mechanics, etc. I'll use Google Docs if i want to write something out and Google Sheets if i want to make a checklist of some sorts. Since I can log into Google Drive on both my Desktop as well as my Smartphone or tablet, i always have my notes/checklists at hand.
