Adding to the housing complaints to hope Square notiches

I realize I am on Balmung, the most populated server and understand that housing is impossible to get without spending 50x the original price buying from someone else. I stayed up till the servers came up, have an SDD, planned my route, lowered my graphics to PS1 level, spammed my login 5 minutes prior to the reopening of the severs and hoped for the best when its mostly down to pure luck.

Unfortunately every single last house was gone 8 minutes into launch and my queue lasted 12 minutes.

I think at this point housing really needs to be addressed further. Not only was it extremely stressful but lower population servers suffered a similar fate, having all plots gone within the hour. This is not so much to offer a discussion, more or less raise awareness about how upsetting this system is and I really hope SE will take notice of this problem.

Please note: I love this game and want to see it improve and its currently my only form of entertainment (because im broke lol)

Not only on Balmung, sadly preferred worlds were like that too. Shorter queue but still everything gone in matter of minutes.

Bahamut was sold out before 5:15AM when I logged off. I was one of the few who managed to get housing for my small FC, though I got swindled out of my original due to the housing function locked. I think they really need to find a better solution for housing though, especially since so many got kicked, error-ed out, or got in after a long queue time. What really sucks are the scalpers I saw before I logged asking for double, triple, and quadruple what the house initially cost.

Players should only be able to own one house, period. I'll give a house and an apartment, not including the apartments in FC, but people owning literally a dozen or more houses is absolutely ridiculous when SE knows how much it plans to limit the resource. Were they infinite, that's different, but this whole system is a mess with an infantile design. I would expect more from devs of one of the most popular MMOs, but I also should have learned from the most recent election that even a lame duck can rise to the top if they play their cards right.

You would need at least 29 different characters to do that (1 private house and 1 FC house each).

Since you can only get 8 characters per account per world, that means you'd also have to have a minimum of 4 subscriptions as well.

They'd also need to meet all the requirements (private = level 50 and the correct GC rank or FC = rank it up to rank 6 or higher).

If one person is seriously paying for 4+ accounts and has taken the time to level up ~28 characters to rank 50 (or paid with jump potion...) and met the GC rank AND levelled up ~28 free companies to rank 6... yeh that's serious dedication.

Also have to ask, how are you counting? Are you just basing the on the short FC tag that owns the house? That's not unique, multiple FCs can have the same FC tag so it might be multiple people who have just created FCs with the same tag and not just a single person. Only the full FC long name is unique.

How have you figured out it is one person? It's certainly not on one character as that is literally impossible because the game won't let you have more than two houses (personal and fc).

Each *character* can own one apartment, one personal house, on FC house (technically owned by the FC and whoever is master, not necessarily the initial purchaser), and one room in a FC house.

No. Each character can only have two houses (personal and FC). Anything more requires another character (and has to also meet the requirements to purchase the house(s)). Likewise another character could purchase a second apartment as well.
