PS4 players and Shirogane

I would like to know how you guys will do it since majority of the houses will get claim, by pc advantage, right as you login. As a ps4 player I have to restart ff everytime I download a patch, as for pc players they can simply log off and log back on without serbacks.

I don't know how the patch works for ps4, but I know for pc it's available to download for quite some time before the patch goes live. Aren't you able to just download and restart before the patch is live?

As a ps4 user this is exactly what I usually do. Seems like the patch is ready for download at least a couple hours before it goes live.

Previous patches for me I'll download the patch when it's available which is usually a little before the servers are actually up and running then I'll have to re log back in of course but as I understand it everyone does since it completely logs out everyone from the server, PC or not.

How do you see if the patch is pre downloaded?

Yeah the patch server always goes live a few hours before the actual game servers do. You just have to keep opening the launcher and checking to know when it's available. If you wake up an hour or two before the servers are scheduled to go live, you should be good to go.

Unfortunately this doesn't solve the issue of PC players with SSDs loading into the game faster than PS4 users with HDDs. Unless you installed an SSD in your PS4 :P

Lol the few minutes it's gonna take to restart the game are your issue?
Everyone in Europe who has a job is basically screwed, patch goes live at 11am, it'll be hours before any working person in Europe can log on. Houses will all be gone by then.

I'm not worried about the SSD thing (a lot of PC users are still on HDDs while a lot of PS4 users upgraded anyway) but the persistent (and random-seeming) DNS issue which screws up the connection on PSN on patch days is a worry. I'm going to have my mobile connection ready in case I need to switch over quickly without playing trial and error with the PS4's DNS settings.

No, some of us went to the trouble of taking a day off work because we wanted a house. And a lot of people work different hours to you. Honestly, there are options.

Outside of an active subscription and having the gil on your character, no one should not be spending any more real money on SSD's and the such. It is not incumbent upon the player base to have to go through so many loops and hurdles, this is something the developers of this game needs to fix by making enough wards to meet the demand. It is utter garbage that people have accepted this method of thinking rather than push on SE to do right by their paying customers. Currently on the dev tracker their popular thread (that is being expedited to the dev team) is DYEABLE GEAR and not additional Housing Wards. Why you ask? Well you need to ask SE why DYEABLE GEAR is such a high priority vs. housing.

Yes and when PS3 was part of the game i recall certain features not being added as to not give PC players the advantage over the console crowd and yet here we are again... lol
