Brd Army's Paeon not working?

Specifically the increase to damage dealt.

So I went to the dummies at the wolves den because I wanted to see if Straight Shot or Empyreal Arrow was better with Barrage. (They both have a pot of 1000 so it didn't matter.) But I found out that I'm doing the exact same amount of damage (with all weaponskills) with 4 stacks of repertoire as I do with none. Also, it's not really clear in the tooltip if I only get a flat 5% increase or if it's 5% for each rep. (20%) If it's a flat 5% then why do I need to stack it to 4? Any help would be appreciated.

All Army's Paeon does is it reduces recast timer for everything and nothing about damage. At 5 Stacks for the song its a bout 2.10 seconds for GCD. However we, the BRDs do not get the benefit of our own song(s) when it comes to the crit rate buffs. Only the party members around us do. You can see this by just using the song and you wont see a music note icon next to your name on your party list but everyone else does. The 2% crit rate buff is not part of the stack mechanic for the Song. it just a 2% buff for just having the song on, which is the same for the other 2 songs.

Initially us bards did not get the effect of our own Troubadour either but they changed that in an earlier balancing patch.

While you always want to have a song up, Paean is your filler song. It decreases your recast time on everything except Bloodletter/Rain of Death and your cooldowns, so it's decent for Quick Nock spam, but Minuet and Ballad are much higher DPS increases. None of the songs actually increase damage dealt nor do they give you the crit buff, but they alter your playstyle in slight ways that are an overall DPS increase so long as you're good with keeping your DoTs up.

I think people in this thread got confused as they are giving answers for PvE not PvP.

There is no crit in PvP so crit does not matter

it's 5% increase per stack so up to 20%...maybe it's bugged idk

Yes, I was talking about pvp. lol I was reading the replies and was thinking "Am I missing buttons?"

Has anyone else done tests to see if they get the same results? I don't want to submit a ticket if I'm derping up somehow.

After some dummy testing both paeon and troubadour seems to not give that damage buff, Emp hits between 950-1020 with or without those buffs. Recast reduction works on paeon tho but not sure if that dmg reduction work on troubadour(would need duel to test that).

Troubadour actually works but the increase is kinda small so it was hard to notice at first, it gives like 30-60 DMG for Heavy/Straight shots for example. But paeon still seems broken tho.

Just checked it for myself and it does seem like Army's Paeon's repertoire stacking effect doesn't affect damage. The GCD reduction clearly works from mousing over a weaponskill and checking the recast time, but I don't see any meaningful difference in damage - a 20% buff at 4 stacks of repertoire should be fairly obvious.
