Hail Nanamo. Glory to Lalafell kind.
I keep getting it for leveling roulette. I have dropped at the start twice in a row now explaining to the party that it's my leveling roulette and I was hoping for a sub-50 dungeon for the large xp bonus at the end.
I have within me the blood of legends!
I like healing this dungeon and tanking it but whenever I go in as dps one of these tank or heal roles are fighting each other. lol
Makes no sense, higher dungeons give you more xp cause of mobs.
Running the highest dungeon available to you is actually better than getting a low one on roulette, tested by my Fc. Just than once a day bonus makes it somewhat worth it.
I wish I would get the higher dungeons for my leveling roulettes...nothing like getting Sastasha three days in a row on a 60+ BLM. While the final bonus isn't bad...I don't waste food on those ones as I'm barely getting 700 EXP per kill in there, and would benefit me a LOT more in the higher dungeons.
I will trade that for the constant copperbell i've been getting.... >.>
So far don't see a problem with it as a tank. I do not mind it one bit but then again..maybe people just want to log in and instantly hit 70. Like any dungeon it is ruined by people in a hurry most of the time.
Didn't get much in response so you started your own thread eh? You crazy kids!

Doma and Bardam's were the two dungeons I made sure to keep Rescue on my bar while leveling WHM. I refused to try to heal tryhard tanks in there attempting to mass pull in Dun Scath gear. It really irritated them, but it made sure we didn't wipe.It could be that Bardam’s is the first SB dungeon where tanks actually need to be sort of up to date with gear. Bardam’s and Doma Castle...doing mass pulls in Augmented Shire with limited to no cooldown usage can be an annoyance for an unprepared healer. Or even an experienced one who doesn’t want to have to babysit a poor tank. That would be my guess.
The second boss was a test by the developers to see if casual players are able to perform simple Savage-level mechanics. Apparently they aren't. So they come here and complain about it. Probably due to the unfortunate chance that they ended up with 4 such players in the same party, none of whom were able to avoid getting hit by the stuff.
I've only managed to do this dungeon once while doing the MSQ--it's just never come up in roulette--but as I go to level a new tank job I will end up rolling through it. The only real issue with the second boss is if someone has poor reflexes in unfamiliar multi-AOE situations, and/or lag issues, which some of my friends have some serious trouble with in group content--to the point where one has given up this and a couple other games where he can't react due to lagouts; Susano normal was even a nightmare for him.
Overall though, it's not that bad once you learn the dance and timing, and it's a neat change of pace. If people are keeping up on gearing--and with other dungeons and vendors there's no excuse even for alt jobs--it shouldn't be that bad for the other mobs and bosses. I like to watch video guides before hitting these places, even as a refresher, and I get the feeling a lot of folks don't do that, or even find one they can read for quick info.
