And SMN reigns supreme now, RDM is leagues away and you'd need a really good BLM if you're going to consider taking one over a SMN considering most current SMNs outdamage most BLMs in personal DPS alone, and at the highest level of play even though the BLM may potentially outdamage the SMN, the rDPS the SMN provides puts it over the top now.

MCH+BRD+DRG will p much remain the meta until they do something about the pierce debuff. NIN, MCH, and BRD have the best raid dps increases in the game DRG basically gives MCH and BRD a 100% uptime ~4% damage buff with the piercing debuff which alone is a massive rDPS increase... thats not even including the DPS increase via their utility. Something significant is going to need to happen in order for those 4 classes to no longer be considered "meta", aside from using RDMs in progression due to rez-spam.
