I never said stop playing Dark Knight. The person I quoted expressed dismiss with how the job isn't getting attention, thus I recommended trying another until it does. Never hurts to play something else for a bit and see if you'll like it too.
Nice try though.
That's kinda how it works - If bards hadn't left bard en masse after the introduction of Wanderers Minuet, they might not have removed it in Stormblood. Not playing a job anymore is one of the best ways to show them that something is wrong with it.
A whole lotta people like to say "There was a mass exodus of people palying X job and thats why SE fixed it". Can someone post some numbers? Anything to back up these random claims? "Wars left at SB. Brds left at HW. Drks leaving now." Stats please.
It’s HW all over again one tank is in the pits now you will see PFs with PLD and WAR combos only lol good job SE....
P.s. don’t just buff what dark arts does especially since dark arts itself needs a make over...
Majority of tanks I got when leveling through the roulette my three healers to 70 (astrologian from ~46) in Stormblood were Dark Knights. The least numerous seemed to be Paladins. I almost always had chains of two or more Dark Knights in a row, I hardly had Paladins in a row, sometimes Warriors.
So...yeah?! I don't think Dark Knights are being left. They are not unplayable, so people still play them even if they are the underdogs (I didn't touch mine since Heavensward, so I wouldn't know). It won't change, unless they will literally be unable to continue following a preferred play style (mass-tanking) at all, while other tanks will. From what people comment about them, that's their forte though...so it seems quite unlikely.
They may have less success in difficult and/or boss only (Primals) content of course. But hey, there's always going to be some underdog. What's important is to give every class viability to finish it, not necessarily become preferred for static parties.
Seriously, NIN still got "All Fours" Yeah that's very useful on the fights that use fall damage mechanics... wait
You've got to wonder how things like that made it to the game well after the team stated they wouldn't use jump and fall mechanics in any fight. Same deal for all these "situational" skills, which only happen in a situation where something went wrong and 99% of the times won't even work in end game content.
It was obvious that before the 4.0 these skills were there just for the sake of every job having the same amount of skills/traits because they said during the 1.x that it was unfair certain jobs had more things than other.
But now they finally got rid of that dumb concept, so why are these filler skills/traits still in the game in the same shape?
