why add Ixion Barding though? the Fate was so congested they had to add instances and nerf the mount acquisition, now they want to add another reward?
So we need to complete 2 full Alliance raids to get the Duty finder for them? This seems rough for someone like me who is new to the game. I really want to experience those raids. Am I understand this wrong or will I have to try and PF to get my base clears?
Roulette won't open up until you've completed at least 2 of the 6 2.X-3.X 24 man raids.
It should make it easier for you to complete them. You will need to complete two to unlock the roulette, but the roulette should entice people to queue (which in turn, lowers the wait for an individual raid).
It is an attempt to keep people playing so there are enough for those that still haven't gotten the mount. Not sure barding will be enough but you never know.
I don't know about on Adamantoise, but on Balmung there is instances that Ixion just... goes unnoticed and fails... because so few people are looking for it now. It breathes a bit more life into the FATE for those who haven't done it yet.
Oh I getcha. I'm hoping to use it for tank training myself. I like to really take my time and do full runs. So I see it as a good opportunity to learn dungeons. The thing that they're missing is the fact these Squadron dungeons are not replacing anything. Its just 5 dungeons that mean nothing and its JUST for you to do more things with your squadron with some rewards unique to it. They hyperbolised the living heck out of the content thats not even out yet. Trust me, people will do it for a month or 2 and forget all about it.
I don't understand the point of barding in the first place. They have no functional value. Plus, chocobos are the ugliest and most generic mount options in the game. The only use for them is in solo content to have some backup in which case nobody else is there to show your fugly chicken to anyway.
It would be neat if we could get armour for our other mounts, the drake mount is really awesome! but you sit on nothing against the scales it seems like it would be painful, especially in thin clothes.
