Petition for more wards / instanced housing

So freaking signed.

I woke up at 4AM. My FC had saved the money for a large, I was even training last night to run from the ferry to the plot, and had someone timing me to see how fast I could get there.

I log in RIGHT when the patch comes up, and get a lobby error that crashes the client. Log in all over again. By that time, ALL mansions everywhere were gone.

Frankly, this is unacceptable from a game and a company with the reputation that they have. Un-frigging-believable.

The way this game handles housing is so bad. I understand that Yoshi P wants it to feel special, but there's a reason people moved away from that design philosophy.

In other news, I prefer the idea of just adding more wards (maybe even having a dynamic system, so wards are added based on demand), since the idea of having neighbors and a community in the area is quite cool.

It's a joke. Shirogane on Odin was gone in like 5 minutes. If you were stuck in queue for too long or the game crashed then you didn't get anything. Just a silly and unfair system.

Tried to get a house for our FC when the servers went online. Was quite glad to find after the long queues that every single plot was taken.
This issue really needs to be addressed, either by adding enough wards, or some other way.

Adding a few more wards to something THIS in demand wouldn't hurt. The server is quite literally stomping its feet for additional housing at this point.

Something needs to be done. I didn't even bother trying to log in at 3am because I knew it was going to be hopeless. I am happy for those who genuinely got their homes and plan to actually use them but I am also pissed at those who bought multiple plots just to resell later on for ridiculous amounts of gil and those who used any type of hack program to get to plots first. All players should have an opportunity to own their own house. Having FC private chambers and apartments are not a subsitution to owning your own house. You're just stuck with this very tiny room with no ability to decorate outside. It's discouraging.

Canceled my sub today (I know, queue the tiny violins, lol).

Really, though, I came back from old EQ because of this patch & the chance at housing. All housing gone in seconds. So why, exactly, would I continue the sub?

And just consider - freaking EVERQUEST, a game that's been out since 1999, handles housing better than this, AND has wards. Really sad to see SE failing so badly on this. :/

This is just ridiculous. Lobby errors and queues, and all houses sold out within 5 minutes. This is really unacceptable.
