So, I'm kind of curious. Does anyone have any item how long it takes for each class's LBs to be cast, used and animation lock to complete?
Right now, it looks like samurai has the shortest LB animation, but no idea on the actual active frames.

All LBs need to get rid of the animation lock, this is not the 1990's. There is no reason one should use healer LB, use the LB bars, die, then nothing happened. Everything should be treated like tank LB.
LBs have an animation lock for the same reason Hallowed Ground and Benediction do, a super powerful skill has drawbacks.
AFAIK all melee, ranged, caster, healer, and tank have their own animation lengths. Healer and Caster being the longest. So SAM SHOULD be just as long as any other melee, I can't really say if it is.

This, so much this.
I've lost count of how many times there's been either a DPS or Healer LB that just didnt do anything, yet still drained the bar because the person who used it died before the thing got to the actual "effect"
Then change then so they are not "OP" instant, feels sluggish and 1990 tech. In the current state, it shouldn't be like this. Same with hallowed ground, benediction, lusterate, anything "instant" takes too long to execute. All these abilities go on CD or use their matching resource without them doing anything, that is a bug in my book.LBs have an animation lock for the same reason Hallowed Ground and Benediction do, a super powerful skill has drawbacks.

I disagree with the idea they are too strong so it warrants an animation lock. Making everything listed to be true instant is not "OP" they are not strong enough to warrant to being sluggish, because how the game works, supposed to be a fast paced feel. People do not use LB because of that lock because they feel it is more DPS to ignore it (though I think it is likely due to wanting the highest personal prase and you wander why SE does not support them officially)
Also with how the game is coded, animation locks +100+ ping = crazy things happen.

At the risk of diverting my own thread's topic, "instant" in this game just means you can move and use it, not that the effect is immediate. Hope that clears up misunderstanding how the game works mechanically.

LB helps a lot, and a few of us on Discord got to talking about the damage they can do (specifically in V4S, some groups use it to cheese GCO with healer LB3 VS using it to melee LB3) and talking about which jobs should prioritize using LB. Things like what is lost per job, the amount of time after the LB is used and what it takes for that job to get back up to snuff.
It can bug out. A few times my target has died just as I casted Excog on them which resulted in them not getting the heal but the ability going on cd anyway. Very annoying. Then change then so they are not "OP" instant, feels sluggish and 1990 tech. In the current state, it shouldn't be like this. Maybe it is just me but I dislike how you need to "plan" to use it, what I mean is, if something happens, and you need to pull that LB3, a lot of times it does mean you die because it holds you in place for too long. So one needs to have a goal to try use it when they know they will not die during the casting it'''..s just frustrating.. Oh we need to wipe because people died at the exact time, no matter what i would do, would die before the LB3 goes off....At the risk of diverting my own thread's topic, "instant" in this game just means you can move and use it, not that the effect is immediate. ouch, +1
The fact that they still consume the LB bar even if they are not fire is indeed a bug weather they wanna acknowledge it or not, On top of that its a simple bug to fix to be honestThen change then so they are not "OP" instant, feels sluggish and 1990 tech. Strategy. Being a healer main and using my fair share of Pulse of Lifes, you learn when it's safe to use that LB3 or if it will just kill you and/or your party. You don't pop LB3 willy-nilly, even if your team yells LB3! Using LB as a DPS, you should be familiar enough in a fight to know if you'll end up in bad for the next 10 to 15 seconds.Maybe it is just me but I dislike how you need to "plan" to use it, what I mean is, if something happens, and you need to pull that LB3, a lot of times it does mean you die because it holds you in place for too long. If you don't know the timing, or the fight, make someone else use it if you can't plan around that recovery.
This means you were too slow. Someone cannot be healed and die at the same time on the same server tick. Either your heal went off before the damage that they took at the server tick, which means they live, or they took the damage first, and you did the heal shortly after and then the server tick resolved and they died. This is why it is important to make sure autos will not crit and kill them. The same applies to cooldowns that many treat as life or death saves (hallowed, living, bene).
