I love them both and have so much fun ......I just can't decide it may be a silly question .
But which would you choose. most dps is not the ultimate deciding factor. Just wanted some opinions

Which content are you talking for?
For ultimate bahamut, probably NIN, depending on your party comp
For just about everything else, probably MNK is fine
I mained nin up til SB... I liked being able to attack in melee and ranged...
If you like mobility, versatility, utility and frogs go ninja ^^
But DPS wise monk is supposed to be better but if you want fun most off all, ninja is I think best, at least for me.
Try them both and deciding for yourself is always the better advice anyway.
Pick NIN simply because you'll be a less salty person in the long run for it. No complaining how useless half your skills are, mechanically sound, actual advancement in your class as you level instead of more of the same maintenance of your core mechanics; it's just better for your mentality.

Game is designed healers and tanks not do much dps, but players play the game different way. Everybody try to do max potential dps even tanks and healers and thats why classes that have party buffs will always shine better than classes that have less utility. Ninja is most wanted melee dps because of trick attack + enmity reduction skills. It is the best possible choice if you wanna do endgame raid content and want to play melee dps.
SMN.
What? ^^
