I am on Jenova and it has come to my attention that some people have bought at least 6 plots to one SE account. I have talked to others and asked if this has happened on other servers as well and a lot of people have said this is a big issue. FC's on so many servers can't get a house because one person decides to make a lot of alts and buy so many plots. I have an idea that me and a few others came up with; binding housing to your SE account and limiting how many houses you can have per server would help reduce the needless purchases of houses on each server. Also a possible way to do this is to not allow an FC to own a house unless they maintain a constant 4 people in the FC that are not from the same account. I know my logic is kinda different and maybe there are some flaws but I would really like some input on this. I have seen the struggles of buying houses and I want it to change.

I agree its a major issue, I've seen this a lot as well. The easiest solution would be to make housing "1 House and 1 Apartment per account", but shared between all characters on your account/server. This way they can't buy more than one house. Those who have already done so, would then have to choose one house, the rest would be "Demolished" and a % of the price would be refunded.

Um, no. Everything about this game is designed to make alts completely separate entities. Limiting the housing to 1 house per account is only punishing those that like to play alts. Limiting FC houses to only those with X amount of players is only punishing those with a small group of friends. Forcing players to demolish a house for a % of what they paid is only punishing those that worked hard to buy those houses. All of your "solutions" are punishments to other people for playing differently than you or working hard to get what you don't have.

With the current system there will always be those that have houses and those that don't. The only fix for this is to move to a more scaleable system which would require a lot more server resources that SE is clearly unwilling to implement. How about instead of repeating the same bad idea for the 1000 time people start asking for a system that actually solves the issue and doesn't punish existing players in some form?

I see what your saying about punishment though i wouldn't call it punishment its more like control so that people don't take advantage of the system i was thinking that you can have more than one FC but maintaining it like a real FC making an FC and then only have one of your alts in it but having 6 or more on your account on the same server is kinda ridiculous especially if they all have housing. I would like to see other FC's have housing and not for it to all go to one person who has way to much Gil and buys all the plots for the many FC's they have with them and one alt in it. The only good thing i can see that happens with not allowing them to limit this is that it encourages people to move to the smaller servers with more housing but even then i found the same problems. No matter how you look at it something has to be done but I would really like some input or ideas on how to solve this without upsetting people.

If SE increased the housing no matter how they did so there is always gonna be that person who takes advantage of that system I am not saying people didn't work hard for the things they got but more on what they should spend the Gil on. Its impressive that someone has the ability to buy so many plots and has that much Gil but if a small FC wants to buy a house they have that option to do so I just don't want to limit the players who have played so much not to have the option because they didn't log in for the housing drop because they are busy earning money in real life. I know that others have suggested the same thing as I have but honestly is it a bad idea? I feel like only people who are gonna complain are the ones who have way to much gil and way to many plots maybe the GM's should be allowed to take plots away from people who hoard housing? I don't know but i kinda want to know what others think.

Jenova is probably very small populated. But other servers are suffering same fate at the moment and it's pretty upsetting. They didn't really consider this through about how adding 12 wards ONLY for Shirogane is not going to solve housing system. Apartments aren't helping. They need to add more wards. Period. Or make it instance.

Hope they find a solution soon.. so many years of waiting to get our fc house and again couldnt get it! Even tho we camped screen for hours/got in instantly and went through all the madness to only be chain booted then too late! so many people buying multiple houses and we cant get 1 fc house...

Um, no. If you liking to play with different alts and have different houses is making the rest of us not getting a SINGLE FC house then you are part of the problem and needs to be fixed.. having multiple houses is a luxury which you can enjoy if the rest of the community have a single fc house... the mindset of screw everyone else i want my 5 houses isnt really helping.. we should find solutions that make almost everyone enjoy the game equally.

what you are implying here is actually the core of the problem others are having just coz some ppl are not satisfied or happy with one house yet they demand more ... have some thoughts for those players who've been trying for so long to get a single house .. yes I blame SE for giving greedy people a chance to take what should not be theirs but still partial blame is on those players who just want to own everything and not being fair.
