So what is the word on Allied Seals?

So no information about allied seals in the preliminary patch notes at all. Is there any official word anywhere about whether or not these are actually going away? So far the only thing that anyone posted was the picture that showed only Centurio Seals but I have not been able to find any actual written word about it.

Not that he is the all knowing but Mr. Happy said only one version of seals in one of his videos.
I really hope this is the case, would make getting those 2X mount speed upgrades quicker

We won't know until they release the full patch notes.

While the preliminary ones don't outright state that the allied seals will be removed, it does have a line that says: "The following items can now be purchased in exchange for Grand Company seals:" Without a list of items (won't be added until the full version). It's possible that these will list the items currently bought with allied seals.

My logic? Centurio seals are going to be used to upgrade gear and I'm sure they don't want people with 5k right away.

It don't have to be a 1:1 exchange. It can be also 10 allied : 1 centurio

Considering the price of Allied items verses Centurio, it should be 1 Allied verses 10 Centurio or just just a straight translation.

Personally, I think converting Allied to GC seals would be so much simpler, but hunts would need to be changed to Centurio across the board, or ARR hunts give astronomical amounts of seals, or else they'll die off.
