Its nice to hear that the dev team is ok, and I hope thier families and friends in the danger zone are ok.

And it was also nice that Yoshi-P took the time to write this, and tell us that the updates would be delayed, which is to be expected given the situation over there.

Much respect to Yoshida and the team for continuing to work hard on the game under the current circumstances. Makes me feel quite proud of the fact that I'm sticking with this game and fully intend to support such effort.

I might get crap for saying this, but if they have members on their team whose family are stuck in danger zones, they should probably give them some room to deal with that before worrying about our patches. It isn't healthy to just be stuck and not move on and allow yourself to recover from something so traumatic, but it's also not going to help pushing yourself back into work when you have family still in potential danger.

Not saying that it what is going on. It's just sad to me that they feel that they need to respond quickly to assure us that they are still working at all. I think most of the community is really worried more about the recovery than worrying about how quickly they will be returning to developing. I mean, honestly....

Traveling in japan at the moment is a mess, so keeping people in tokyo is a good way to keep them safe.
Working is also a good way not to think too much about the situation, and not to fall prey to depression.

The only concrete info we have on the companys is that they are coming in some way shape or form. there has been tid bits that came out from the ebisu event and from other interviews. but we have absolutely no idea what they are and what there roll with in the game will be.

The thing that has me most excited is that we are finally going to be getting some solid info on them since they were first mentioned almost seven to eight months ago. if i recall correctly the concept of company built ships granting access to large scale pve content was mentioned some where in the span between then and now. my shell mates and i have also been thinking that some interesting pvp content could come from it as well. but little has been said in the way of offical news regaurding them other then were working on them and there coming. Still i am excited to find out about them after all this time, and from the tone of the producer letter the dev team is excited to finally let us in on what they have been cooking up

"Grand Companies" have sparked my interest since they first mentioned them. It's really hard not to be excited with the information finally comming out. I can't wait to read the write up! Also I would like to thank Yoshi-P and his staff for their dedication to the their players. Thank you.
