Returning player, Healer balance.

So I have just returned to the game and I was just wondering what the healer balance is like at the moment. I have my WHM at 54, SCH 51 and I think my AST was 37ish. Are they all performing within a reasonable level of each other or are 1 or 2 simply outshining the 3rd currently.

It's pretty good right now. Play what you like and you'll be able to get stuff done.

They're all performing reasonably within each other.

The only reason you would need to worry at all right now is if you're a very hardcore raider that wants to get involved in the speed kill scene. And if you were, you'd want all 3 healers leveled and geared anyways.

Scholar will get some little adjustments in 4.1.
Otherwise, they are all fine.

It's arguably the closest it's ever been since 3.0 I think.

One side note, AST scores big with it's versatility currently and if you're going to go with a single healing class, that'd be my recommendation as it just gives you more options on the table as to whom you group with. Even double AST is fine as long as LB generation isn't an issue.

WHM for big heal and regen
SCH for average heal, shield, extra heal from pet (fairy)
AST for decent heal, buff and utility (damage reduction, quick cast, can switch between regen or shield, etc)

Situation is pretty decent. SCH is still a bit of a mess, but the kit is solid, and suitable for all content.

All healers are performing well, one isn't a black sheep like it was before. The healer you pick shouldn't be a wrong choice so long as you understand how to play it and then apply its kit to the content. The only time when healer choice would actually matter is for the group who wants to do speed kills/parse runs.

AST+SCH is already preferred for speedkill/farm, this will just solidify it. Hopefully, it won't trickle down to progression next tier and WHM will still be welcome for that.
