Which characters are your favourite?

Major Characters:

Fordola: It's not often that I get as invested in a character as I did with this one. I think I've talked about her more on this forum than any other!

Raubahn: I love his combination of brutality and wisdom.

Ysayle: Watching her transition from villain to ally was very entertaining.

Minor Characters:

Laurisse: From the HW BSM class quests. Loved her spunk!

Gigi: From the ARR GSM class quests. His relentless scorn and criticism was hilarious.

Matoya: Her take-no-nonsense attitude was great, and she actually managed to eke a bit of actual personality out of the otherwise bland Y'shtola.

Primals/Eikons:

Alexander: It was nice seeing a truly benevolent primal (even if his "benevolence" still resulted in many lost lives), and I love time travel shenanigans. Also, been my fave summon since FFVI.

Garuda: She cray cray! Seriously, though, I love her design, and also the hints of backstory we got to her "origins" as an Allagan general.

Ramuh: Much like Alexander, I enjoyed that he wasn't an actively hostile figure, and could be reasoned with. Also, beard.

Job/Class Trainers:

Frey: HW DRK Trainer. I loved Frey's dry wit. And pretty much everything else, as well.

Hamon: ARR PGL Trainer. The old guy was a hoot!

Eschiva: HW WHM Trainer. She echoed many of the criticisms I, myself, had for the Padjal, and it was great how she was willing to gear up and take care of business herself when the Padjal failed to step up.

[Okamimaru]

Major character:
Hien- not emo despite watching one of his closest allies get shot repeatedly and a castle fall on him, pragmatic, not stuffy, confident but not cocky.
Yshtola- the only original scion I actually liked.
Yugiri- took a huge risk to help her people, and has been a valuable ally.

Minor character:
Hilda- so sassy
Momodi- reminds me of a much more mature version of tataru
Edda- closest to total batshit crazy we need in this game.

Primals:
Moogle mog- great music and still quite often a mess to fight
Titan- the original extreme pain in the
Lakshmi- the music and her phrases... tho I like Sophias voice better

Job npcs:
None of them grabbed my attention really... can't even remember any names

[Cilia]

I'm not filling out all the boxes.

My favorite character is Nero, believe it or not. He's a loose cannon, and I love unpredictability. It's extremely boring when everything proceeds exactly as I predict, and it usually does. Nero has the potential to break this trend, though he has yet to do so. Nero's loyalty is to himself first and foremost, but at the same time he seems to be slowly coming around despite remaining fundamentally Garlean.

My favorite Job trainer is, obviously, Fray. They provide invaluable insight into the Warrior of Light's psyche, and the 50 and especially 70 quests are made absolutely epic thanks to their presence.

My favorite primal is Alexander. Though it takes a while to get going his story is very interesting to me thanks to his time travel shtick, which can be hard to grasp at times and has no conclusive answer as to where he came from. It's an eternal mystery unless you believe in such a thing as "Time Zero."

- Major Characters:
Tataru Taru: With us for a long time. Reliable. Cares deeply about her friends.
Raubahn Aldynn: Strong. Loyal. Determined.
Fordola rem Lupis: Kickass redhaid.

- Minor Characters:
Hildibrand Manderville & Nashu Mhakaracca (Sorry I consider them as one item ): Humor.
Mide: Cute Au-Ra with a kind of sad story.
Loon gah: Fighter. Don't care about make-up or dresses. Miqo'te wearing an armored bikini.

- Primals/Eikons:
Shiva: Sacrifice.
Ramuh: Kind of reasonable.
Good King Moggle Mog XII: Big plushy.

- Job/Class Trainers:
Y'mhitra Rhul: Cool miqo'te
Widargelt: D'zentsa and O'tchakha
Curious George: Funny guy.

Okies, this seems like fun! So here are my lists:

• Major Characters:
  Haurchefaunt - (obvious reasons), mostly just everything about him! His personality, his undying loyalty and love for his nation, friends, and family!
  
  Ysayle - I absolutely just loved everything about her! Her back story was interesting and different from most. She truly was a WoL in my eyes(an incomplete one, but she still was!) She saw her mistake, sulked on it for as long as needed and decided to right the wrongs she had committed! She was truly an amazing and complex character. She really resonated with me so much.
  
  Alphinaud/Alisae Leveilleur - (I hate lumping these two, but...) They're both twins! (duh) and we haven't seen many twins in the Final Fantasy series be a part of the main cast. I really love their dynamic between each other as well. Both of their characters are portrayed wonderfully and seeing them grow day by day (expansion by expansion) is such a marvelous sight! AND they act like siblings! I love being able to relate to that so much. I love Alphinaud's try hard attitude and his willingness to never give up. And as for Alisae I love her approach to situations and her very headstrong personality! They really are two halves of a whole that work SO well together <3 And yet still maintain their own individual and unique personas.
  
• Minor Characters:
  Crammevoix - (Honestly the entire cast of the Scholasticate questline!...) but I really love Crammevoix the most XD. Mostly the typical stereotype of smug womanizer, goofball(kind of), and sees the error of ones way. Just really enjoyed his willingness to change for the better and to help others. (Also I ship EVERYONE with Theo, even Crammevoix XD)
  
  M'zhet Tia - I won't go into too much detail just because of potential spoilers and I know people play at their own pace. Non-spoilery things though, I love his characterization and growth through his quest line it was really cute! He's the epitome of youth in a way, and it was enjoyable and refreshing to see! Especially with all the war-torn stuff going on during Stormblood. (This whole quest line made me stay Miqo'te for so long I wasn't sure I was going back Hyur anytime soon during Stormblood.)
  
  Diabolos - I know, a bit unorthodox... but I really enjoyed his over arching story! I was not expecting him to progress even further after Lost City. So when I saw he became the main focus of the Mhachi series I was like "What?!?!?!" The voidsent had a master plan and stuck to it and almost achieved it! Just really enjoyed him as a villain, always nice to have good villains!
  
• Primals/Eikons:
  Shiva - Well... I've always loved Shiva in any incarnate, and I LOVE ALL THINGS SNOW AND ICE! Shiva was also very unique here as she was mortal transformed and fused with the aether to become a hybrid of Primal and mortal! I really loved everything that entailed Shiva and Ysayle so much! <3 Shiva best Primal!
  
  Bahamut - Mostly the backstory of the original Bahamut and the Mercydian plight really touched me through out the entire Coil questline. I just really felt all their anguish and despair in everything we witnessed from Bahamut. It was so tragic and very tearful. I know after finally reach the final part of Coils I was just struck with such sadness piecing all of the story together finally.
  
  Ravana - A new summon to the world of Final Fantasy. I really enjoyed his style and design as well as his voice acting! This was just something so fun and unique (HE WORE IT BETTER THEN SUSANO! lol jk jk) But I love the lust for battle and combat just was a fun fight! I love he's also aspected it seems to ice in a small part (as well as fire and earth!)
  
• Job/Class Trainers:
  Y'mitra - Well being a Summoner main from 2.0-3.55 I really enjoyed her involvement of me growing as a Summoner! She was fun and cute. I loved she was related to Y'shtola and she seems to really care about her big sister a lot! Their relationship is sooo adorable! *squee*. She was very self driven and determined. Just a very enjoyable kitty to have as a skilled Conjurer and amazing mentor as well as learning right alongside me!
  
  Jacke - Well first off... husbando material right off the bat! lol I loved his love and loyalty he has for his crew. He's very much the Robin Hood type. Very honorable.. yet still a Rogue XD Just loved everything about his character (and OMG! The lvl 60-70 NIN questline brought him back! And his and my other husbando's interactions, Orboro, were just amazing!)
  
  Sidurgu - I know, a bit odd. A lot of people probably say Fray when it comes to Dark Knight, but I really enjoyed Sidurgu a lot! His very determined um... way of doing things lol. He never does win does he? Least of all with those blasted moogles! But I loved him overcoming his own shortcomings especially with Rielle and I LOVED how... Love is a driving factor in his power of Darkness. WHETHER HE WANTS TO BELIEVE IT OR NOT! Which I feel is the same driving force for me as well when I play Dark Knight. Just enjoyed everything about him and even Rielle.

[Terkhev]

- Major Characters:
Haurchefaunt - do I even need to explain?
Alisae - I really like her character. She can be blunt and doesn't mind brute force but is also cute.
Tataru - I loved parts when she tried different jobs.
Regula van Hydrus and Gaius van Baelsar - I love antagonists that have some good reasoning and aren't just evil.

Honorary mention to Y'shtola (waifu material, but not that interesting character) and all the bros: Hien, Gosetsu, Thancred, Estinien.


- Minor Characters:
Khole - visiting her every week to exchange journal is pure pleasure.
Hoary Boulder - bro!

- Primals/Eikons:
Shiva maybe? I like her music.

- Job/Class Trainers:
Jackie - fun and interesting character.
Raya-O-Senna - I like her character. Wish we had more interactions with her.
K'lyhia - waifu!

Major: Alphinaud
Sure, Alisaie is best waifu, but Alphinaud has been written very, very well. His gradual charcter development that really gained momentum in HW is the best, and we also know him quite well personally. His great drawing skills, his fear of ghosts, his inability to swim, and of course how much of a dirty pervert he is. He might not be the best character, but he sure as hell the best written one.

Minor:
Edda. Do I have to explain?

Primals:
Sephirot. Giant sentient tree with kickass music and a fun little fight. Lakshmi is fantastic, but...Giant sentient tree.

Job/class:
Karasu: I know it is cheating cause he is not an actual trainer, but he does help you at times and he is clearly the most talented ninja out of the whole bunch. And he is very entertaining.

Raubahn cause Flames > Pirates and Treehuggers lol. Annnd BLU was my jam in XI.

Minor:
V'kebbe, that darn biscuit is the true XIV superboss. Shame I can't understand a lick of what she's sayin'.
Momodi, she was my first friend in Ul'dah and she makes a meeeeeean root beer.
V'kebbe (kid from Idle-shire), She's the reason I wish we could adopt NPC orphans.

Primal:
'ruda, cause reasons.
Shiva, I like her music best.
Thordan cause his music is cool too and very Final Fantasy VII-y

Job:
Papashan, though not TECHNICALLY the PLD trainer, he's still a big part of it. I already liked PLD before his CSes, but he made me like it better. That scene where you do the deal with the thieves and Papashan charges down the hill. *chills*. PLD is the best.
Mylla, just make out with Aldis already!
Musosai, now I haven't done all the job quests up to level 70 yet so I dunno if another job's quests are sniffle worthy, but this has got to be the saddest job story I've experienced.

First, we don't really know much about Eorzean law to know who is underage and who isn't. Second, she is an Elezen so we don't know when can she be considered an adult or not. Her twin brother is a very active politician and military commander. Is that normal for kids?

And last, I didn't marry her yet.
