    So since we are at it, why not spending two words about Drain, Break and Erase?

    I mean they are pretty lackluster skills in our role options and could use some polish
    How about making drain to work like Bloodbath but on magic dmg?

    Break could become an instant ability or something more impactful since the dmg is worthless and it could be useful in a renaud-like mechanic who knows

    Erase.............I got nothing on it tbh......maybe remove it and make tether a role skill so that all jobs have the same aoe bind skill and don't want a job ability slot who knows....

    All BLM needs is speed, raw power never scales well vs %s unless speed is included.
    Yoshi could even include it as ab extension of the Enochian language to spell the word for "fast" using Umbral hearts/Foul.

    Foul would hold the first 2 phonetics for Fast
    Blizzard 4 would hold the last 2
    By the time 2 fouls occur it will spell fast in enochian resulting in instant casts X number of umbral hearts or just 3 solid insta casts per 2 fouls and 2 b4s.
    Tie the activation to hitting the Enochian button while its already active to activate OrUnFamGisg.

    Or IPZI.

    why does sleep have a range if 30y, but all other moves have 25y?... eitherway, if they lower the aetherteleport move CD, increasing its range to 30y too would be nice (same for between the lines)

    its just a minor 5y increase, but sometimes can make a difference (but ofc lowering the CD has prio)

    That's... actually not the worst idea I've heard for rebalancing Black Mage. That said, it could use some more power as well (we lost so much between HW and SB) but this is a step in the right direction.

    Drain is helpful for soloing fates with chocobo, and break could be useful for a raid where a heavy is required (like Cuff of the Son or the old Dreadknights).

    Erase I got nothing.

    Certainly BLM needs more power, undoubtedly, in fact, but it also needs some consideration for more reliable procs otherwise that damage might be neigh meaningless.

    agree, some cross class skills are kind of useless..

    even the at first cool looking "rescue" is never used/tooken, which might have been intended to help out blm

    => make rescue more atractive for healers: gives healers a mp boost when used (but does not cost the target any mp) + make the move the target was using (if a caster) when being rescues "instant" (so if a blm was mid f4 cast when being rescued, f4 would go thru)..

    Rescue is used in Exdeath and it was useful in Susano. It's not used on cooldown in all instances, sure, but at least it is worth considering at times.

    Part of the issue with Rescue is that the delay is too long on it, if it happened much faster it would be more helpful (and more troll-y).

    I'm just thankful Surecast blocks Rescue. I'd get annoyed in the final story dungeon when the boss is going to use is art of the knockback attack if it didn't. So many healers trying to "help" me out when I have things covered.

    At stormblood launch I postulated that there would be a command would be implemented that makes it so you can't be Rescued if you had it on, but alas, no such luck.

    It really can be a very useful tool, it's just that its delay works against it when it could be helpful for dodging aoes and its gap closing ability is very situational at best.

    rescue could have helped in those fights, but at the end, never really saw any healer even take rescue as a crossclass skill in serious runs

    its not really used , but was probably ment to help (mostly blm?)

    rescue could use a revamp to make it more atractive (and at the same time not hinder the target).
    like give the healer mp when used but make the targets cast instant
