    Housing Relocation and Gardening

When we purchase a new house in Shirogane, will the current plants we have growing in the garden and indoor flowerpots just be lost? Sorry if the questions has been asked/answered I didn't see anything with a quick search. I know they have stated that the Chocobo Stables and Miniature Aetheryte will be automatically placed. It would suck to lose our garden plots too.

It was not mentioned anywhere on the relocation page or the live letter, so if you've got some expensive items on rotation I would wind them down before the patch if you plan on moving unless Square says otherwise beforehand.

(edit: Also very good question, I didn't even notice gardens weren't on the list with the stables/aetheryte and flower pots never crossed my mind!)

edit again: Thinking it over, the outside garden part is probably because if you relocate to a smaller house you'd have less gardening plots you could put down and then they'd have to choose which one doesn't get killed for you. I can't see many people downgrading, but the possibility of doing so would still be an issue.

Generally, I'm sure it will be pretty rare, but it'll probably be fairly common on patch day, since people with Large or Medium plots may be forced to downgrade, if they want to get a Shirogane plot.

For gardening, I would work under the assumption that you'll lose the crops. If you lift up a gardening plot with crops on it now, you'll lose them, so it'll likely be the same for the Relocation service. On the other hand, it used to be that if you lifted up food furnishings, you'd lose them, but they've managed to work around that with the Storage system, so maybe they have something similar for gardening.

As an update to this for anyone browsing, the preliminary patch notes state that when you hover over an item inside the store room it will tell what all is tied to it (fish, plants, flowers, etc) and that progress will not be made to anything (ie the garden plants are essentially in stasis) inside the store room. This means your plants won't get eaten, you won't have to re-buy/grow exotic flowers and your wheels won't get devoured by the void.
