I guess you are right but atm the only dungeon really synched is ala mhigo anyway and that is still a quite fast dungeon anyway

Oh and I assure you it’s aggravating knowing I have over 2300 crit then I enter that dungeon and it goes down to 1750 ish. It’s noticable and makes my class (bard) frustrating even more
The roulette is just misnamed. It's for casual play, not experts. The raid gear can be used to full power in raids or any duty with the undersize option selected. I don't know, I kind of see your point too. I guess the solution is just more choices. Keep the casual light party content but also introduce harder unsync ones for people who are clearing raids. That's on the backlist of planned content actually, they are doing hardcore light-party content.
The best solution is probably to make sure that people who can farm the top-tier raids cap their Creation by just doing those raids, so they don't find the need to do the daily roulette.

To pitch in on the BRD dilemma, BRD's - and MCH's - agro reduction skills also have important party utility. Especially in the case of an undergeared tank, one you're likely to rip agro from but also one who'll need the healer to actually work to keep them alive, it's often a choice between reducing your agro or keep it for when the healer will need that Refresh. So for physical ranged, agro reduction gets another layer of complexity.
Same issue here. I have almost 2k Ss, gets synced to 1500. It's noticeable and puts my 4.0 rotation back in the area where it's annoying. Mind you, I'm not saying I can't do it, but it's getting on my nerves. I put a lot of effort into gearing up and even if it's not needed for those dungeons, it's a slap in the face to have it synced away. Especially since I get that one synced dungeon almost every day.
If I run the other 2 expert dungeons I encounter low geared players as well, I don't have any issue with running with them, I don't pull hate, I'm used to watching my aggro. I don't mind slower runs either, it's solely a qol thing for me having my higher Ss not synced down.
Meh, I don't see anything wrong with the ilvl sync in ala mhigo. Big pulls and fast kills (in my runs anyways) can be executed properly. And even if they did remove it, they would just put it back in another patch anyways. Plus, imo, it's kinda too late to make that happen now since 4.1 is 9 days away.
I just feel that now that every piece of gear has materia slots they need to reconsider level sync completely negating materia. Not like I'd be using different materia if I was under 310 and as a tank that's a loss of 125 strength and potentially 400+ direct hit.
