    FFXIV BOOT ERROR-Unable to complete version check!!!

    Hello, the error is stated above and the message appears as soon as I click on the game's icon, I can't even load the launcher, please help!

    PS: I played the game yesterday flawlessly. Did several restarts, edited notepad files under my documents, unchecked the read only under properties ect, and nothing works.

    I am also having this issue. Even reinstalled the game and having the same error come up.
    I have also noticed there has never been an official check into this (from what i can see), and there's only been homebrew solutions for limited success.

    This is what is shown.
    Unable to complete version check.

    Well then..

    Not five minutes after posting this, I attempted to log in again (because i don't know why) and it worked. Nothing had changed since my last attempt (and posting the issue). So i wish i could give more advice to others that receive the error aside from waiting and hoping if troubleshooting doesn't work.
