Speculation from the 4.1 trailer (A hint of a new job?!)

So I was watching the 4.1 trailer... well in the middle, for a brief moment, they show this hand holding a stone with a glowing symbol in the middle.. and then the video quickly shifts to pvp content. Now this looks (to me) like a soul stone :O But its a symbol we dont currently have in the game.

Now assuming this IS a soul stone, what job do you think it could represent? The only thing I can kindof see is it maybe representing a Bell for Geomancer.

Or maybe its not even a soulstone, but something else entirely! I have no idea what else this could possibly be though.

So go ahead, share your thoughts and ideas about this mysterious image :O

DISCLAIMER: I know its going to get brought up by people, so before anyone starts, yes I know they said they weren't releasing a new job mid expansion. I also know that it would have been unlikely for a new job to stay a secret and not get leaked somehow. But this DOES look like a soulstone, and speculating/theorycrafting is always fun. So don't be so serious and just share your theories or ideas.

Actually, it looks like an Auracite. Since the upcoming raid is going to be based on Ivalice and the Zodiac Braves story, you can see the Taurus sign carved in that stone.

It's Auracite with the Taurus symbol in it. This is an FFXII reference for Return to Ivalice, Taurus being associated with the Chaos Esper.

Ooooh i didnt even think about that! It does look like the stones that appear when you fight/defeat an esper in xii. Welp that completely ruins the hype I had built for myself

Ok, but do we know for sure that the holy stones werent auracite of some form? We only saw a couple of them in XII, and theres no saying there werent others. And thinking back, we saw the dawn shard overload and destroy some testing equipment... and we saw the aftereffect of the midlight shard having been used in Nabradia and an "explosion" that destroyed everything. I seem to recall releasing a lucavi being somewhat explosive. A quick rampage later and there might be no survivors to tell the tale of what actually happened.

Im more so poking at the being a FF12 reference part as the Holy stones/zodiac stones which first appeared in FFT are renamed auracite in the FFT war of the lions re-release. They are also very much the same stones since 12 is a prequel to FFT as weird as it sounds.

Basically Im saying its more a Tactics reference instead of a 12 reference really.

Do we need to cross-reference reddit before we can post something in the square-enix.com forums?

No but normally something that sticks out like that will be brought up on Reddit immediately.

I've never played either one sadly, I'm only parroting what I (kind of) remember being brought up.
