    You left out the part that Sustain is coming back to Arcanist.

    I like most of the changes. It'll take getting used to, but it seems like the push to utilize DWT as well and as much as possible is going to remain SMN's core mechanic.

    As for Bahamut, I don't know. He must be parsing very high out of motion on SE's side if they want to restrict SMN that hard during his summon.

    I'm happy for these improvements, either way.

    I'm glad they're finally making Tri-Bind worth using, and Aetherpact being aoe sounds great. Ruin3 replacing Ruin1 has me concerned if it means we loose Ruin3 out of trance.

    This patch however doesn't address my main gripe with the current SMN, which is that Trail and Flow stacks still share the same UI element and therefore can't exist at the same time. If they're going to keep it this way they need to block out aetherflow while you have 3 Trail stacks so you don't accidentally throw away 3 aetherflow stacks, the accompanying trance and bahamut aether. I'm honestly baffled this made it through QA and hasn't even been commented on.

    Oh wow thanks for posting this..the changes sound much better, if this is true! But yeah we still need some adjustments to Bahamut and of course bane.

    Ruin 1 > Ruin 3 and Ruin 2 > Ruin 4 are like that regardless of being in DWT. Believe it was translated to be similar to how Bio >Bio 2 > Bio 3 works. That then also means no more proccing Ruin 4. The other change is Ruin 3 is instant and ogcd in DWT according to the translations.

Whatever animation floats your boat maybe?

    EDIT: Also is it safe to assume the fairies are also affected by the cast time/MP reduction change?

    I imagine they'll just have the trait be what replaces ruin 2 with ruin 4, and similarly have that trait or a trait at the level you get ruin 3 be what replaces ruin 1 similar to the bio/miasma upgrade traits.

    I've been curious about scholar as well and imagine they'll either make it effect all summons which will help scholars after death (and help dissipation), otherwise they'll just make it a summoner trait if they just want the egis effected by it (similar to scholar's aetherflow reduction trait since that was only for them).

    Ruin 3 will be instant only in DWT, otherwise casted.
    I assume then that Ruin 4 will either cost highly in mana, or still be locked behind proc, otherwise I don't see why I would choose a spell of 150 over a 200 one.

    I also feel like we're not hearing everything, the LL was just gossip overview, and the detail will be in the patch notes

    I we must wait and see in ffxiv announce patch notes not reddits claim patch notes

    how much of his prediction are on point if I was devs for my own amusement I be give this guy false information just throw him off. in this way everything that came out would be suprise

    The seem like a good start to me. SE still needs to do something about Bahamut movement, attack and Wyrmwave being tied to other actions.
