Well, title says it all. I'm sure people could careless. Which is fine. I'm sure I'll get rude comments...w/e. Just wanted to say my good-byes to the community :/ Very sad about letting my character go along with my husbands. We can't justify p2p for something we just aren't having fun with. Especially with him doing studies for a certification for his job and me expecting...just doesn't make sense for us to keep our characters active as well for the sake of waiting for 2.0.

When the kiddo lets me sleep through the night and he is done with studies, which should be around when 2.0 rolls out, if we hear good things, we may be back. I hope good things will be said...*keeps fingers crossed*.

Thank you FFXIV community forums for the lovely chats, debates, and giggles. I'll poke in from time to time to read about the patches and what not. I will most likely keep posting until I can't post any longer on the forums since I just logged in a few days ago. I just wanted to make sure I let you guys know, that I will miss the bantering and chatting when I'm gone.

To the devs, please keep up the good work. I'm keeping my fingers crossed for you guys that you can turn this game around into what an FF game should be. I know you have it in ya!

So they enjoy the game but it's not worth paying $10/month for? I just don't get some of these people who keep saying "beta, beta, beta." Square has fixed a lot of stuff in the past year and the game's made leaps and bounds. It's quite enjoyable with a fun linkshell. I can understand "oh, I just can't afford it in this poor economy." I can understand "eh, I just don't like it." I can't understand enjoying the game enough to have an emotional response and then not be willing to pay just $10/month. Come on.

It will be great when all of these people disappear from the official forums in 30 days. Good riddance.

They haven't progressed the game in any way since its release. No level caps, no new jobs, nada. They have only added stuff for people that will never be any higher than level 50. I would say the lack of progression is where most people are getting the beta thing from. Not saying the game hasn't improved, it just hasn't moved foward yet. And it is still a beta or they wouldnt be using the player base to fix all the problems. That is traditionally what they do in a beta test.

I think a better reason for you to give is that your life outside of FFXIV is becoming more involved with your husband's work picking up and the two of you expecting a child (congratulations btw) so you don't have the time for the two of you to play at the level you'd like to and have it be worth paying the incoming monthly rates for it. THAT I totally understand and wish you the best not that because you have to pay to play it isn't worth it anymore.

Maybe she wasn't having fun but wanted to keep her account to check in every now and then hoping that some new changes would make it the game she had hoped for. If the price does not justify someone paying and sticking around who cares? It just means the product is not worth their money...that is her money and her choice.
