Dated Wristguards and Dated gear in general

Would it be possible to bring back some of the Dated gear from 1.0?

A few of my friends and myself are interested in the Dated Toadskin Wristguards, preferably them also being made dyeable:



These could be reintroduced with a Lv70 glamour craft so that it can be used on all jobs, or even a Gold Saucer reward.

'Dated' gear is old 1.0 gear that existed prior to a specific 1.0 patch which changed how gear was crafted and specifically it's colouring (that was in preparation for ARR and gear dyeing). Because of that, it remains exclusive to 1.0 characters who possessed it prior to ARR and retained it when they transferred their 1.0 characters into ARR (I still have all my old dated gear, including an old 1.0 dated brass dagger that remains equippable to GLA/PLD even after ROG/NIN was added to ARR, which I like to sometimes glamour for lulz and to blow less smarter players's minds with ).

As I understand it, a lot of 1.0 players foolishly threw their dated gear away accordingly or converted it to materia in ARR, unwisely thinking it was 'useless gear' (this was before the glamour system was added of course).

Although I do not agree with dated gear returning (on account of it being a legacy of 1.0 that ARR is meant to be moving away from), apparently SE are considering finding ways to return such 1.0 gear back into ARR, but nothing further has been said on the subject so it remains to be seen whether that will come to pass.

Well, a lot of the models used were already re-used in ARR items and the main perk of the dated items tends to be that they have different glamour restrictions - such as allowing mages to wear chainmail. And while the unrestricted glamour is certainly appealing to many, SE keeps being stubborn about it and frankly, for the most part unlocking the ARR gear that exists would suffice for that purpose anyway, because as said prior, models are largely re-used. Tunics, chainmail, circlets, gauntlets, sabatons... it's easy to find class-restricted replicas all over the MB for much of the stuff.

The interesting bits are models that weren't re-used. The wristguards among them - I've seen them on an NPC or two, but they aren't available to players. I don't see a reason why not, truth be told - the model is there, it's already adapted to the races and it's not even a case where people could get confused. In fact, I'm surprised they didn't outright and rather had all wristguards share the exact same model.

Here's hoping at the very least the wristguards are considered, and preferably dyeable too, I have quite a few glamours in my head I'd like to use them on.

Well, with the fact that so many exclusives from ARR and beyond have returned via the cash shop, I don't see why they shouldn't be brought back. Personally would rather they be put in the gold saucer or given to us as quest rewards though, tbh.
