Surprised this one didn't go up this morning.

We've got 11 days until the revelations thread - what'd people think?

Hints to a summoning in the throne room drew my attention (not that we didn't suspect the Qalyana situation might not go entirely well, but who's to say it's them for sure).

I went back through my 1.0 screen shot folder - the Raubhan flashback is almost beat-for-beat the same as the quest where you see him win his final fight on the Bloodsands and gain his place in the Syndicate. That was a very nice touch.

I wonder if the Pipin line - "Is this truly what you want?" is from that c/s and they're just throwing it in as a red herring

While I'd never trust Lolorito, I at least like where (I think) his character development has settled for the time being. For how much power, wealth, and influence he wants, he seems to know that actually governing is a massive pain in the ass. Weakening the Sultana was all well and fine in times of peace, but Ul'dah without a strong central government in a time of war would devastate his net profit. So long as Nanamo grows up and rules well, I think he's content to have her carry the burdens of rule (at least for "this year") and invest whatever is needed to keep the spice flowing.

Though I do wonder why we're coming to him. Security forces as Ala Mhigo goes to hell? Construction resources to see the city refortified? General monetary investments in exchange for rights to real estate and trade? ... Someone good at outwitting dissent?

(Also, yes, the throwback to There Might Be Blood was excellent.)

For my response to the OPs post:
What could possibly the Scions need Lolorito for? And the part about Pipin asking Raubahn, "Is this truly what you want father?" This is just a theory so don't take it seriously, but I get the feeling that Raubahn may leave Ul'dah so he can be in charge of Ala Mhigo; he just seems the right guy to lead the country and keep the people in check. Furthermore, the summoning in the throne room, I bet some people are gonna get tempered and we'll have to kill them...
And lastly, Lyse is going to let Fordola live even if she says there's no point in keeping her alive.

Given how we see Raubahn cut down a resistance member it's safe to assume.

I'm quite curious about Return to Ivalice and specifically how it will connect with the Ascians. I'm loath to believe Return to Ivalice will simply be just our vivid imaginations at work, and even if it is it would be quite the coincidence if major characters in a Garlean fairytale just so happen to share names with Voidsent that have attempted to cause the apocalypse multiple times even before the first Garlean was born. Regardless of how they'll implement Ivalice there are DEFINITELY going to be implications.
