(EU/PAL) In-Game Item Campaign with ShopTo!

90% of things in the promotion are out of stock and won't be fulfilled within the promotion campaign.
Ended up having to buy something I don't want to get these items (that have been available to others for a LONG time)

Only to have the company charge me and have no orders listed.

All this has done/is doing is giving ShopTo, Square Enix and FFXIV bad press and a sour taste in the mouth of the players.

Please Square, stop doing these stupid promotions with obscure companies.
You have your own platform for releasing game content.

Release it on Mogstation and I'll buy it, if you HAVE to get more publicity, just use Amazon like any other sane company.
You will reach more people about your game and you won't have the press backlash of a terrible website, doing a terrible job to, well, do their job.

This is not a very good way for your players to be treated.

A friend did a back order and want to get another code. Can someone confirm if we can get 2 codes if we do 2 purchases in different times? They are for different SE accounts.

For anyone getting a blank screen. I called their support who were really nice and helpful and managed to get me back into my account.

I had this happen to me as well, what I did noticed just before I went to sleep yesterday is that my account on their page now has a balance equal to what I "bought" for. Currently waiting for their support to open up though to have it verified, and possibly just have them put my money back,as I am not sure these items are worth it

Just Cause 3 is NOT included in the campaign, that was (is?) an error on the Lodestone post.

Looks like someone changed their mind as Just Cause 3 is back on the list now... I think you were thinking about a different game (FF14 Starter Edition iirc) when you mentioned the lodestone error

I'm hoping that World of Final Fantasy comes back up too at some point but I'm starting to lose interest in all honesty

Yeah, I noticed it being on the list all of a sudden as well (though it's out of stock of course). I guess you're right, it wasn't on the list of games when I checked the ShopTo website and I got confused.

But that's exactly the point people are worried about - backorders don't count as purchases until they get back in stock at which point we're charged for them. What if they don't get enough stock before the campaign ends? I, as well as many others, have only the one choice of the game card for PC. The chances of them not meeting demand is ridiculously high. This is actually concerning.

Hey BillyKaplan,

If someone orders a product that's in the campaign list, but isn't in stock, they will still receive the items as soon as the item returns to stock.

In short, your desire to purchase and get in-game items will be honoured.
