I said this in another thread, but the delay in Eureka likely also means the iLVL steps are going to be different, and we may even skip a "step" in the long run from missing a cycle.

    But, that's blind speculation.

For all we know it may be similar to Diadem 1.0 and we do activities for Pink drops that having additional quests added to get progressively beefier options, that we can like, meld or something.

Why keep playing a game that doesn't give you what you want? Many here have outlined that they have constantly and consistently been let down with how the development team has prioritized/ implemented their content. If there's any truth to theses claims, why continue to give money for an experience you don't want?

Plenty of people like/ love this game as it is and where it's going, and i may only be speaking for myself, even when i disagree with certain aspects (Samurai dps, two dps as new jobs, Diadem, LoV, ect), it's still an FF game. That's what keeps me here, it's what kept me here since 1.0. Final Fantasy is not like WoW, GW2, Tera Online, SWTOR, Blade&Soul, Black Desert, ect... There's a reason why i tried those games and only stayed with FFXIV.

What reason is there to stay where what you want is never on the menu?

TLDR: The door is over there.

I personally feel invested in XIV having been here from 1.0, and I would like to see the game continue to succeed rather than stagnate.

I'd also argue that brand loyalty isn't really good justification, but to each their own.

I don't think people should be told to leave as a result of voicing dissatisfaction. If anything, it means they still care.

Not sure what the need for this post is. I did not disagree with your point.

Reading too much of the forums makes me very sad and apathetic.

Your post came across to me as a counter argument saying that ilvl doesn't matter because you do it for fun. If you arent disagreeing with my point then great, but the general attitude in this thread has left me a bit jaded when it comes to counter points.

Nevertheless, I apologise if I came across badly.

I undesrtand this sentiment perfectly back in 3.4 I could not play this game anymore I had multiple jobs lvl 60 did about most of the things there was to do, but playing since relase I got burned out to the point that I felt the game was not apealing anymore yet there was many other who still enjoyed every content they kept putting out. I took a break of more than 200+days played ff15 and many other games meanwhile. Came back a week before stormblood and the game felt AMAZING just about everything I enjoyed back again as I missed it. even stuff that I hate before I love now.

telling people to take a break is not a bad thing if someone comes back or not that just show how much they really cared for this game, if you truly love it you will come back and it's a healthy thing to do there's so much of the same thing you can eat before it becomes stale. even Yoshi-P himself recommended people to take a break, and as far as I know they said their formula was going to be the same going forward into SB but adding new things so asking them to change anything is not going to work. if you are burned out take a break.

I have the same sentiment here: I started out in 2.0 (I initially wanted to start on 1.0 but I was told to avoid it), loved the game despite its shortcomings but instead of complaining I gave them faith and continued to play, but now seeing that the game is just "recycling" the same content with just a new coat of paint, it feels like the commitment is no longer worth it. The only reason why I post on the forums it's because I still care about the game for now but eventually, I'll even forget my password and stop even bothering coming here: I might have found better games by then.

And about housing, I share your concerns since I used to own a house myself but managed to move on as soon as I got rid of it. The struggle wasn't worth it and I still remember around 3.2 or 3.3 being really frustrated to decide where to play a boring stale game with no content or unsub and move on.

I just wish I kept being unsubbed instead of returning to Stormbore...

I would imagine it is kind of liberating to be free of it…but fake interior design is my kryptonite, apparently.

I feel it's because dungeons weren't made to be streamlined completely and had a reasonable difficulty curve as you get to higher levels. Then once endgame hit it has stayed the same since they nerfed the original lvl 50 dungeons and pharos and rather than coming up with the odd creative obstacle for us to tackle it recycles the same tired situations and makes them have little consequence or just really simple to do to the point it barely adds anything to the experience. Not asking for coil difficulty here, just to have some content here and there that respects basic critical thinking skills and demands everyone to at least play their jobs properly. I still play casually because I have fun every now and then but the experience could be better.

Oh no, it's not brand loyalty that keeps me here. I still enjoy this game immensely. The story, art, races (still waiting on Viera...), jobs animations, music, setting, ect... I may not agree with everything in this game, however in it's entirety, i'm so very proud that i in a very small way, helped to keep this game going in 1.0. My character name isn't in the credits, my real name is. I adore this game more than i can say, having people bashing is something i have gotten used to, if it's not the forums it's lbr (which i still listen to because even when they bash it, they still cover FFXIV news...kinda)

People complain that there is no incentive to do end game, no gear lust, no challenge, ect... My question, What incentive has the player base ever given to the development team to make the challenge for that lust inducing gear? Not enough clear rates shows lack of interest, meaning no need to place resources in content less than 3% of the community is going to do. When people do try end game many often exploit bugs to clear faster... The message? it's not about a challenge, it's about consuming content as fast as possible to complain there isn't a challenge in the end game...

Anyone, everyone can complain about what they want, hell shout it from the roof tops till you pass out... However actions speak louder than words, and the lack of clears is roaring volumes the vocal minority will never reach. However there is no reason to fear, new content is on the way for those that want it, and we know SE will be watching. If there are those that feel lust worthy gear needs to be added to incentivize the player base, could the player base not incentivize the dev team by showing with actions just where the majority wants them to focus of their content?

I feel an Army... of endgame starved players, crushing the content and asking for more would speak volumes louder than yet another complaint thread. I do not feel this game is stagnating, if anything it is gaining popularity (i still see log in ques on my server). I'm not loyal to the game because of it's brand, i'm loyal because even though it's not perfect it still has so very much of what i cannot find in any other mmo, the fact it's an FF title is just icing on the cake.

P.s. I don't even have a house in game, though i do have three active accounts, two of which are legacy.
