Reading too much of the forums makes me very sad and apathetic.

Just out of curiosity. What would you want in a patch that would be enough. Which patch was the good one?
Same question as above. We really seem to be getting a lot more content in one patch than in any other MMOs so I really don't see the problem. Sure we had larger patches before but thinking that the servers will dry it till 4.2 because there is nothing to do is a little close to hyperbole.I don't understand. Do you take insult to me calling this patch out for what it is? That being garbage, and would prefer connoisseurs of garbage to flock to this game so that you might be among people of your own tastes, and not have to drag your eyes across all this wrong-think? Just because WoW players eat garbage doesn't mean we have to.

Idk, we should have gotten this relic at 4.0, they said 4.1, then 4.15, then 4.2.
We used to get 2 dungeons. Instead we got squadrons which will be done for the emotes and dropped since the xp will be terrible.
For 2.1x and 3.1x we got a lot more than this.
What do I do want?
How about we start with meeting what you have given us in the past instead of giving us less?

And if they give 3 dungeons and a raid people will complain that the patches give the same old stuff without new systems.Idk, we should have gotten this relic at 4.0, they said 4.1, then 4.15, then 4.2.

The ammount of content didn't change. It just changed form.

It takes time to create content. I am pleased with this patch personally.Idk, we should have gotten this relic at 4.0, they said 4.1, then 4.15, then 4.2.

"Within each of us, the potential for great power waits to be released."

I like how half the stuff in the 4.1 preview isn't even coming until 4.15... looks like there won't even be 330 to 340 upgrade items from hunt logs in 4.1 at this rate. If so there ain't gonna be a lot to do but farm crafting scripts...which also don't appear to have new gear coming yet? Hope I manage to land a medium house in Savage 4.1 login.

I think people need to remember that the development team just got done with a huge crunch and push to ship Storm Blood - which is a huge accomplishment. It is understandable that many of the Dev Team probably took personal time and vacation time after the launch which means the development capacity, or amount of work that can be done in a given segment of time, would be much lower than normal. Thusly patches immediately following the launch of an expansion will have less content comparatively. That's ok, these are people, they need time to reset. I for one am happy with the amount of content the team is delivering so soon after an expansion launch and applaud them at their continued excellent service which is unparalleled in the MMO industry.

I am disappointed in the trailer and perhaps the patch, pending on the patch notes. The trailer itself just felt boring. The length of the video is the shortest of all the hype videos.
What bothered me most was the lack of labels of what was what. Other trailers announce what part you are on in the video like "Void Ark" or "New PVP". This had nothing. There is no new armor previews, no new features, and no hairstyles. This is probably the most disappointing trailers I have seen in the FF14 trailer series.
- No labels for the video
- Slow music score (just boring)
- No new features
- No previews of armor, weapons, crafting recipes, and haircuts.
- No beast tribe preview
- No new primal fights (excluding 24 man)
- No PVP features
I don't know why they released this poor quality trailer, but it put a bad taste in my mouth for 4.1.

This put me off...at first, then I sorta pieced together what we knew collectively and was fine with everything. They could have done better with the trailer, definitely. Before they could generate a good bit of hype with a single trailer, and the hype just wasn't there with this one. The Live Letter I think generated more hype than the trailer itself.

Well unlike another shooty online game I play, at least they're trying... it's tough to create content that everyone will like. Palace of the Dead and Aquapolis have been the most successful, Chocobo Racing and Triple Triad are also good time wasters if you're farming MGP.
Diadem... well, you'd think after the feed back from the first Diadem/Yokai Watch they'd listen. People were asking for a Notorious Monster pop system, or hell do something like Abyssea where aside from Savage raid you could get some good endgame armor from there, it had the potential but I don't get why they did it the way they did. I have a hunch Eureka would of been Diadem 3.0, and after the feedback from 2.0 the dev team had to of taken it back to the drawing board. Now, I know it's not fair to compare this game to FFXI but XI we had Sky and Sea, TWO very good options for endgame loot but they want to keep Savage at the very cutting edge. Variety is the spice of life, can't put all your best gear in one attraction. Give people options, people will still do savage content because min maxing will always be a thing. The kind of gamers who will complain that the "peasants" have other options besides savage raids are not worth listening to since they are the minority.
If they want to create more new content without burning up time and money creating new areas, they should consider more PotD style systems like Savage mode dungeons (Aurum Vale - Savage *because I'm evil like that) or Dynamis-Ul'Dah (fighting voidsent in the city states in an alternate Eorzea conjured by Diabolos or something). Also, increase the weekly tome cap a bit. 450 is too small, people have multiple jobs they want to gear to the fullest, now that we have new jobs it would take several patches to gear a fraction of them fully.
