Give "Personal Housing" submarines or stop putting actual items behind them

It is bad enough people are exploiting the housing system and the submarines to make millions of gil with fake FCs but they keep adding other unique items that you can only get from submarines anyway which is rather annoying.

One of the current facewear accessories with the Blindfold goes for about 3m gil. So not only are people making millions of gil off the subs anyway, they presumably can make additional money from whatever new stuff is added and sold off.

It is one thing for the "FCs" to make millions off the submarines but why do they insist on putting actual items behind it as well as if the millions of gil wasn't enough as is?

I've been playing since beta ARR and have had a personal house since when they were first available so it wouldn't even have been a lack of time/effort to make my "own" submarines outside of my FC if given the opportunity. In fact I did contribute initially to our REAL FCs submarines since I was into crafting/gathering anyway.

But now I don't really understand why it isn't possible for any housing to have that option, AND knowing full well that people are in fact "exploiting" this feature for millions of gil anyway. Or I guess in the hypothetical situation someone has a personal house but NOT in an FC, which just makes the whole thing worse.

The one redeeming thing, if you can even call it that, is that they have at least in some cases added whatever items you could get from submarines into other content.

people that go for pure money builds cant find the new drops, because their submarine arent capable to even find new rare items statwise. If someone with a solo FC decides to look for these new rares, they have to invest millions for another submarine setup. Then its still usually less money/day gain compared to normal gold farm

i doubt that "money farmers" even waste their time with new rare drops

If someone with a solo FC decides to look for these new rares, they have to invest millions for another submarine setup. Then its still usually less money/day gain compared to normal gold farm

i doubt that "money farmers" even waste their time with new rare drops

This is it right here. It's not worth sending your subs out for the new items that are not a guaranteed drop then having to play the market board and compete against all the bots who constantly undercut when you can make a ton more by just farming the standard items you can cash in at any npc. It may take you a couple weeks to get that 3m gil drop but you can easily make that in half the time farming the salvaged gear.

Not to mention, I have had my subs running for the gil items for years now and am basically just sitting on a pile of gil like some old dragon because there is just nothing to spend that gil on. I just don't understand why ppl get so mad about this when there is nothing to spend gil on outside of housing, which if you have the subs you already have a house in the first place. Plus there are other changes SE could make that would make making gil much easier, like hiding the amount items are listed for on the ah and instead just list what previous items sold for, which nearly eliminates the massive undercutting problem making it easier for everyone to earn gil, from new players to vets.

If the new rare drops were to make something interesting, like glamour or mounts, I'd definitely invest millions (if I had a submarine LOL).
