    Unpopular opinion: lvl 50 story dungeons

    I really feel the lvl 50 Main Scenario dungeons should have locks so we can't continue until all the adds are killed. This rush to the teleport ends up leaving unexperienced players behind, and rarely do people explain what's going on. This wastes so much exp for those new players. The bosses shouldn't spawn until everyone is out of a cut scene viewer. This way those new players who want to enjoy the content can, rather than being pressured to skip. This roulette is so we help those people, not inconvenience them and ruin their experience when it's fresh and shiny to them.

    This would kill the roulette all together and the new player would hit a wall due to no one wanting to run it.

    Then tie it into leveling roulette. The way these instances are treated is poor especially to new people in the game. These roulette are in place to help in the first place. It'd be too much of a overhaul to make it like Aetherchemical but there's lots of players who try to form PF groups anyway just because they can't enjoy the story.

    dont worry, maybe 1 out of 5 players do wait and play at the new player's pace and there are players like this, would need more tho.

    I don't see any problem with either watching all cutscenes and then running it again for fights or skipping them all and then watching in inn (I did it this way).
    They are already too boring with too small reward so I just skip this roulette. Making it longer would make queues even longer.

    They did consider adding gates to those dungeons that won't open until everyone is through the cutscene actually.

    The main issue is that nobody would be doing those dungeons then. Praetorium is 20 minutes with rush and 30+ minutes cutscenes in a constant stop and go that prevents you from going AFK while others are busy since you need to return soon-ish, but also unable to do anything interesting in the time. Even if it was put into leveling roulette, you'd see people leaving it en masse right at the start.

    The issue is that these dungeons are designed as single-player content, with no regards to the dynamics of multiplayer games, yet for some reason are group content. And that's what the fix should be, making them single-player content.

    1. Even when the game was new. We did not kill all the trash in dungeons unless we had to.
    2. Going from A to Z, killing what is along the way is faster and far more efficient,you get a lot of exp for completing the run. By running a dungeon multiples times get the best exp vs time spent.
    3. While an experienced player may be able to increase the pace at which you things are done, they are never able to take the piss, they will soon find themselves dead as a result.

    This will make it so people either do not queue for main roulette or when they enter and see an newcomer that is not skipping, they will either leave/fake D/C or kick the newcomer out of the instance. We already have some instances where people leave the moment they enter (Aurum Vale), an instance that takes around 45-60 min, because you are waiting for someone to finish watching their cutscene, will backfire very hard.

    With your suggestion, OP, people will avoid the Main Roulette and if they add those dungeons to the Leveling Roulette, they will either leave (only takes 1 player to get the penality to allow the rest to leave without any penality), kick the poor newcomer or fake a D/C to get kicked. In the end the newcomer will be the one that suffers the most.

    So while I understand where you are comming from, I think letting newcomers ask friends and free company members to form a group or make one via the party finder is the best option.

    It's an unpopular opinion because this would scare off most older players queuing for the daily bonus - it would screw over queues for these instances.

    This is a better suggestion that what I had, I like this idea a bit better.
