Is this quest bugged?
I saw the youtube for it. The Whm in the youtube was taking maybe 800 tic damage. I'm taking 5K tics. In the time I need to cast heal II I am being hit for over 20,000 damage when the Gargoyle comes out. I've done this 8 times.

It's getting to be retarded on steroids.

IIRC you can Esuna off the big poison, which is essential. Fluid Aura will get him out of your face, and if necessary Repose can put him down while you clear other stuff.

Took me a coupe of tries too, until I remembered that Fluid Aura exists. Made a huge difference. You can also Benediction an NPC if they get low and not have to spend time healing them otherwise.

How's your gear? I had full Nomad set and it gave me no trouble. And I think I used Holy and Thin Air and killed the small adds pretty quickly.

This was the strategy I ended up employing. The Gargoyle has a cleave that will obliterate your health bar no matter how much you have and if you Thin Air, holy spam all the portals it's just him. You have just enough holy shit buttons to cover the cleave spam and still bring him down. He dies quick enough, he just spams that cleave like attack so often you are forced to pull out all the stops to stay alive.

Definitely want to take esuna for this fight (I learned that one the hard way too).
