    Death of pvp

Why do I say pvp is crappy now? It's simple- were all limited to the exact same few pvp skills so instead of a test of working tactics and player skill it's a basic race to see who spams the same skill fastest no loadouts no options . Nobody can really tell if Thier better at it than the next person cuse Thier are no options to set up ur skills . It's boring and it doesn't make sense that since it's pvp the character magically forgets all the skills we leveled for and replaces them with a few pvp ones . It's like really ....

I would say it would be nice if we had more options to play around with when it comes to building our PvP move sets per job. I wouldn't even be against having more skills usable on the PvP field even though I do get what they're trying to do. They want to stick with one toolbar for the simplicity I guess & for the easier job balancing even though they're not doing so good with even that right now. If they want to stick to such a small # of action skills then they should decrease the GCD on the PvP grounds to allow for faster combat imo. They should also make tanks more useful such as a debuffer & party protector not just the tanky DPS that gives out stuns every so often. Also healers should not be as tanky as they are, well good healers anyways but I understand why they are because tanks don't do much to protect anyone but themselves.

True, but moving the payload makes up for it imo.

That is where you are wrong sir it has 6-7 buttons depending on hero. Also comparing overwatch to ffxiv pvp is just a disgusting thought. One is fun and the other is mashing a button and dealing with people out ranging you cause of server lag.

And next thing you'll say is that pvp in FF is like a MOBA, right?

Sorry to burst your bubble but you actually have it completely opposite - normalized stats, hp, and abilities means everyone is on an even playing field. What separates us now is skill. I for one love the new PvP system. For instance, I no longer have to worry about being the best Dragoon I can be if I don't have a level 42 monk or crap like that. And I don't have to worry about my gear not being optimal and having to find obscure pieces from random dungeons. And I don't have to worry about having the latest HQ food and potions. All these are things that you give yourself an advantage with, that have nothing to do with skill, and they are now gone.

Make everyone the same = the winner outplayed you.

You can call that boring if you want or not like it, that's fine. But don't pretend like there's no skill involved.

Problems in PvP now are bots, win traders, and other things.

Most people like the simplified rotation. If pvp is dead, bots and win-traders killed it.

What separated people before, and what STILL separates them is skill. Now, to be fair, there's a LOT of nuances to PvP that SE has just never taught people, and the information was, at best, an easily missed note in patch notes (such as Icebound Tomeliths in Shatter being 50% more magic resistant), but largely, anyone who knew what to do before and could adapt to the way their job is played now still stands out as a skilled player.

I have to agree that trying to force fit each job into 9 buttons isn't so great, as not all jobs play the same anyways. And though they've teased the idea that they can add to it, that seriously needs to happen, among plenty of other balance changes.

I have to echo this sentiment. I personally really like the simplified rotations, especially because it’s a lot easier to just jump in to jobs I don’t really play too often and have fun doing different things with a much lower skill floor.

I definitely get that the ceiling has been lowered but ultimately I think removing the button bloat was better for pvp as a whole. I will agree with Valeria however that there definitely needs to be some balance changes. While we might not agree what those should be (definitely not a topic for this thread), some changes need to happen.
