I will have no reason to play PVP anymore, and no decent option to level up my DPS jobs if XP is removed from PVP. I disagree with this suggestion.
Actually I somewhat agree with Ahrneil. I use PVP to level classes. If EXP is removed I would have to find other methods to level that are less enjoyable. Spamming dungeons and the queue times are not enjoyable. Dungeons are predictable. Every PVP match is unpredictable as the players change the dynamic. For me exp gave me an outlet to accomplish both of the things I enjoy to do.
The problem is that A LOT of people do that ONLY for exp, ruining the experience for those who want/need to win. They should then make ONLY the team winning to gain exp. That would be a partial solution.
EDIT: ..or as other suggested, make 2 different queues, one that give exp, and one not (but you gain achievements in both)

Then everyone will go (including the bots) to the team who dominates to get the experience. That is definitely not the solution either. I like the active participation idea, but now the bots don't just sit there anymore. I just want them to start a massive bot ban and maybe get some in game moderators (or active pvp veterans that are reputable) to start cracking down on the bot situation. The problem is that A LOT of people do that ONLY for exp, ruining the experience for those who want/need to win. I wholeheartedly disagree with removing EXP from PvP. It has provided a really cool, fun way to level classes, especially DPS ones who would otherwise have a lot of trouble queuing for dungeons. While botters are a problem, they were even before the addition of EXP. Instead maybe some other way to disincentivize bots would be for the best. I also agree with others in how EXP shouldn't be based on wins or losses. Before the fact that you still got the same EXP was a nice 'consolation' prize for a loss, which might be most of the time if you're in Shatter....
No.
The problems are a result of the game system itself. And third place still offers decent enough XP I can't even get mad about losing. Heck my games aren't even filled with bots, but preformed...
If you don't like it, simply don't play it. But bots exist both in PvP and in the game itself. That is the real issue.

Welp, here goes again:
As much as I've been utilizing it, I'd be fine with XP in PvP going away because that's not why I did it in the first place. I know that won't happen as it's now been opened up to players at level 30 and they're trying to push to allow it from even level 1, but it goes without saying that issues with botting, exploiting, giving up, and just general lack of knowledge or understanding of the modes only became an issue once XP was offered.
People love to try and point out Garo as the big savior of PvP. It's not. If the Gold Saucer versions of the gear were implemented at the same time and dyeable, most would've opted to just go for that instead. Lifting the GC restrictions - the biggest request of the PvP community that existed before 3.5/4.0 that many didn't know about or simply didn't acknowledge - was the big fix. Changing up the cost and rewards of Wolf Marks helped too, but that was largely a change with the event in mind. Still, you can't feasibly say that an event no one knew about until just before it began outweighs a much needed and wanted change that improved and made matchmaking easier. That's just not even comparable.
Removing emotes? No. Don't you dare. Given that they've oversimplified all job's kits, removed gear stats, and left us with the base forms of PvP-specific skills that used to be upgradeable, emotes are one of the last few little bits of expression we have left. Yeah, it sucks when someone wants to gloat if they take you down. . . But that's when you mark em, respawn, and take them down. Simple as that. I recently had a Battle Fever NIN running from me at dangerously low HP. They only survived by their team completely diverting to stop me, then they came back and laughed. Funny right? It was even funnier when I respawned, switched to my main job, then came back and took them down in half the time it took before. It's all a part of competition. Sure, mind your manners and don't take it too far, but when they score a touchdown and spike the ball, score one back and spike it on them.
Much of this is unfortunately more true than I want it to be :/Five minute queues are not a "tiny portion." The only reason queue have slowed now are because the devs screwed up severely with their poor management. PvP skills were entirely gutted, melee jobs suck and three jobs (WAR, RDM and AST) are so bad, it's almost forfeit getting two on your team. This has essentially driven many good PvPers away, thus you're left with bots. So, yes, I would rather slower times or for PvP to die completely if they can't be arsed to actually enforce their policies. They've put significant resources into a mode they won't manage.
Well of course it's not! We all know what the true savior of PvP is:

I completely understand that it would be better for advanced PvP players to be able to use full chat functions. However, the data clearly shows that a greater number of new players have joined the content after we removed chat functions—this is a fact that we cannot dispute. From this, we can tell how much harsh language was becoming an impediment to new players and hurting their participation.
