FFT's end can be summed pretty much from this post in GameFaqs from a user named philsov:

After Ramza and Co defeat Altima, they are either outright killed or deus ex machina'd back to the real world and never heard from again. They are officially thought dead, and while it would make MUCH more thematic sense to have them fittingly die, it's a final fantasy and heaven forbid this game is a full blown tragedy.

Delita succeeds in unifying the land and becoming king.

Olan writes about everything Ramza did, but the Church didn't like it so they killed Olan via live burning at the stake.

Ovelia, being queen, eventually comes to the realization of how much of a manipulative and backstabbing ass Delita was, feels betrayed, and lashes out against him. Delita kills her in retaliation. (Delita survives the attack)

Delita, having just killed the only person he truly cared about, is wrought with grief and wonders "Ramza, what did you get?" Ramza of course was not a manipulative and backstabbing ass, so it's an overarching question of "Do the ends really justify the means?"

In short, history remembers Delita as the hero, Ramza died in obscurity, the Church is still corrupt as ever (though the infected Shrine Knights and Co are gone), and a small portion of the side characters sadly die. You did everything, saved the world from demonic resurrection and takeover, and get zero credit.

Does this mean in the world of FF14, people know the whole thing as bolded above or do they know they only know what the church allowed to be known (Delita good, Ramza bad)?

Should be interesting which version of the war of the lions made it in the final cut, so to say.

It seems to me that the whole story for the FFT raid is going to be done much like Crystal Tower not literally being FFIII's final dungeon but simply referencing it in theme and enemies, it's a grab bag of references from FFT/FFXII (and even FFIX) without being a literal retelling of FFT's storyline (after all, the first part of the raid is going to be a ruined version of Rabanastre from FFXII, a city which did not exist in FFT, so that pretty clearly shows it's not going to be literally 'FFT in Hydaelyn' (after all, SE themselves have long stated the real Ivalice and Hydaelyn are totally separate worlds).

Either way, we'll find out soon enough.

Based on the screenshots and art they've shown, it seems like it'll be the Minstrel's retelling of Rabanatre's fall. There's a screenshot of the city intact, albeit smoking, despite it apparently having been reduced to ruins when Dalmasca was "subjugated" by the Garleans.

from the trailer, we're going to fight the ff12 summons hashmal (hashmallim - earth) and mateus (ice). the question is, if ba'gamnan is a boss as well or just the usual trashbag he already was before. the final boss is a mystery to me. ive never played fft, so im not familiar with his design, but interesting thing, he looks like helios the sungod, brother of eos and selene. there were so many screenshots of him in the live-letter but i dont think, they mentioned a name yet..

He's most likely the final boss and is transformed into the Taurus Lucavi (he's the one holding the stone in the trailer). Going by FFT lore, this could mean the boss is called Duma.
