    It would be cool if we could bring them into raids and trials. Even if they sucked and clearing that way was genuinely impossible, it would finally get around my wish for undersized-but-not-unsynced mode for current content which remains strangely elusive if you don't have random friends happy to lie dead on the floor to fill out a party (I'd just leave the NPCs dead since NPCs can't do mechanics).

    I think it's frequently forgotten that a level 70 character can solo 99% of level 50 and lower content. Even some EX primals. I literally 1v1'd Ifrit EX as an AST last Saturday.

    Undersized parties didn't put a dent into leveling roulette. Squadrons won't either.

    This is a non-issue. Players will still enter duties with other players. And if a player does not want to interact with randoms, it's better that they are soloing, really. I mean, during the average duty finder run, it already feels like you are playing with AI. It's just AI that randomly ranges from terrible to amazing.

    Then there are players like me. I would by far prefer to go and check out a new dungeon without dragging other people down, but once I'd have learned the dungeon, I'd have little problem doing it with others.

    Another bonus is that large deal of the DPS will use that, which will solve queue issues. Tanks that will use it are usually those that have performance issues and don't want to be bullied for it while they're learning the job. So it's possible that it will even increase the amount of tank players, by giving a "sandbox" to learn the job without getting the harassment and complaints. Once they'll feel more confident, they will probably still go to the normal dungeons here or there which are likely to be more efficient.


    I just hope that there will be means of actually leveling at higher levels. Not as great as roulette and the like, but ones that could actually compete with normal dungeons for DPS that would need to procrastinate or do low-experience content while waiting to, something like 70%-80% of the experience a player could get in the same time would be fine. The 20%-30% experience loss would be made up for with "comfort" of that method. Those that care about efficiency will go to normal dungeons, those that want comfort will go with squadrons, and those that don't want to lose out on either will look for friends to run the content with. Everyone can be happy.


    On a different note, what a pain for daily forum posts to be bound to the level of character set as main on forums, instead of the highest level owned...

    Do you want players to interact with each other or no? Cross world whatnots allow people who want to play with other people to..you know, play with more people. As it is now the game is incredibly solo play friendly, the only instances you need to interact with others are unsynchable msq dungeons. Everything else is optional for the most part. If the idea of solo content with your squadron upsets you, the clear solution is to not run solo content with your squadron.

    I find it rather funny to see so many people up in arms about this but there's a ton of bitching in the vote kick thread about players that "hold back" the rest of the group. This gives those players the ability to do the content without having to deal with impatience and toxic behavior from those who expect too much out of a random matching system. This is a win win in my book.

    Yeah, this just adds another option for people to utilize. I doubt we'll see any real decline in players signing up for dungeons. Roulettes will also be just as active, in theory. That's where the real exp is at.

    You are severely overreacting. The AI will be nowhere near competent enough to replace a human player, thus will not ever be useful for anything beyond braindead easy content. Squadrons are also likely to follow more conservative playstyles, i.e. small pulls and little to no healer DPS. Given the NA/EU's mindset to zerg everything at lightspeed, I sincerely doubt people would want to use Squadrons even if they were available at 50+ content. Putting all that aside, I'm of the belief old content needs to die eventually. They can only force veteran players back into Copperhell or Titan hard mode for so long before it becomes obnoxious and unimaginative. Granted, you unlock Squadrons fairly late into the leveling process, so it won't matter too much.

    1. Squadrons unlock at 50 so you will at least be doing party only on 1st job up to that point.
    2. All jobs can get a roulette bonus for going pure Human
    3. Hopefully it is in MSQ dungeons as well cause this is where all the story cutscenes are.
    4. I wonder if you can mix it up. 1 human 3 npc, 2 human 2 npc, 3 human 1 npc.
    5. I hope they can be used in all normal modes
    6. Maybe some additional story arcs for squadron members inside dungeons

    The wording is throwing me off though. Is this only going to be for newly created squadron specific dungeons or is it the MSQ dungeons as well? I am not worried about the game becoming solo centric, hard, extreme, savage exist and I don't see the AI becoming that good.
