Ilevel gating is not enough, there is too big of a difference of NQ and HQ ( on the left side) to have NQ acceptable, esp the weapon.

Legitimately curious on that. What do you find convoluted about XIV's gearing for relevance? I mean, generally speaking, higher stats = better. A need for specific type of stats is not at all a thing for most non-Savage+ content. The games restrictions on jobs that can equip gear that isn't for them is minimal now. There's only a few secondary stats to actually think about too, which again, is not even needed for the majority of content to be nit picky about.

People outside the top 10%? or so .. basically outside the minority of those that really care of their performer think being able to enter = enough, I had to kick a few tanks out of HW DFs from being under geared but they thought it was ok because it allowed them to be there. So in a way it is confusing to most on what you really NEED for something.
