Fly the Falcon Mount Questions?

I don't know where to ask this but I have some questions about this. If this should be asked somewhere else please direct me to the correct location and I will.

My original assumption was that my 1 month recurring subscription that auto renews would be sufficient as it would self-renew for a total of 90 days within the timeframe specified. To my knowledge, there is not a single day in the entire eligibility timeframe that I was not subscribed.

In September when other people got the mount and I didn't, I went ahead and subscribed for a 90 day subscription (even though that's for 8 characters a server and I only need/want 1 character a server). I did this before the end of september.

It was my understanding that as long as I did that before the end of September, I would receive the mount on October 5th.

I did not.

What gives?

Did you by any chance play a another character on one of the servers with the level up bonus? If you reach a certain level, you get 15 days of free playtime, which do not count towards the Falcon mount campaign. If you didnt do this and got a 90 day subscription before the end of September, then you should have received Falcon Mount on the same day as the rest of us.

As a matter of fact I did get those 15 free days of playtime for exactly that reason. Thank you for reminding me. If I had known they would cost me the mount I would have not done it.

However, I did still subscribe for that 90 day subscription before the end of September which should override it, should it not?

Did the payment for that 90 day subscription go through before the end of September?
It it did, you should recieve the Falcon Mount. If it did not - if you just signed up, but the actual payment did not happen until after September was over - then I think it would not count.

It's possible that happened as well. I activated the 90 day thing but it may have waited until it was time to auto renew before actually pulling money. I'm very confused by that whole process honestly.

This is very frustrating. I had no control over that 15 free days and no idea it would happen much less that it would then also cost me the mount. I honestly didn't even want to play a second character I was just trying to help someone else get into the game and they couldn't make a character on Balmung.

What do I have to do to seek an override? This was intended to reward subscribers and I'm a subscriber. There's no reasonable reason why I shouldn't have that mount.

Frankly, you are probably out of luck. You could of course try contacting Customer Support, but I wouldn't get my hopes up in your place.

The 90 days subcription you bought would not have activated until your existing time ran out, and thus the days would not have been added to your account until then.

You needed 90 days worth of paid subscription time during the qualifying period. They were quite explicit that any free time would not count.
A 30 day recurring subscription + the 15 free days for leveling a character on a new or preferred world would mean that you'd get less than 90 paid days during the period.


What you could have done (but it is too late for that now) is to buy a gametime card and use that to add subscription time to your account. Those days would have been added at once.

Contact support. It's clear you made an monetary effort to get the mount. If they are not braindead they will encourage this behavior less they don't like money.

I have the same issue. I haven't had a lapse in subscription since 2.0 launched, but the free 15 days (that I wasn't actually aware of until after my alt was > lvl 30) pushed my sub's bill date into october, preventing me from getting the mount.

I have a ticket with SE. Hoping for the best.

I think the time would have been added immediately in the case that you were not on a recurring subscription, but it may be different if you are, however, if you showed them that you bought the sub before the 30th, then they should and probably will correct this and give you the mount.
