Being able to practice your battle actions, combos, etc. on dummies would indeed be very useful!
Let us know what you guys think about it and we'll pass it along.

Only if it is useful to figuring out damage output and accuracy relative to all levels of gameplay.
I think this is a good idea +1
they could just allow you to change the stats to whatever you want, then all we would need is a scan ability to find out the stats of the mob you are interested in preforming dps on.
The point is to get something of a baseline down in terms of a "vanilla" rotation. One makes adjustments on-the-fly or after the real fight is over but you need to start somewhere and every minute of writing basic macros or adjusting keybinds from extrapolated test dummy results is another minute you don't need to waste the of the group's time after you wipe on a boss. The group's 7 total minutes vs. you're 1 minute while you write a macro you could have done before going out is always going to be outweighed. The practical applications of a test dummy are useful, but they're not going to really break anything.you can that that all in a real fight too. And you will learn more then just hitting on a dummy. dont you want to explore your own skills and stregth through a real fight rather then hitting a dummy and see what kind of dmg you do. I also wonder if you will get any good results, because you have to count in so many factors when calculating dmg. lvl of mob, defense, vit and maybe even more. Mobs have diffrent stats so what stats would you give the dummy?
Now, I do not like them personally. I can't quite describe the ill-feeling I get when thinking about them but it's more related to a player-mentality they foster rather than the practical benefits they bring for people to prepare for group content.

I think it would be useful to have dummies that are able to attack if needed with physical/elemental/magic/status attacks so that we we can test out defensive abilities and armor.
Definitely a want. We see all these training grounds in the guilds yet we can't practice on them. Also, would be much easier to test combo and macros on.
It can wait for 2.0 though, no hurry.
I prefer it slow and awesome than fast and cumbersome.
LOL cash shop! SE's way to tell their player how they appreciate them... pull the carrot and empty your pockets $$$
And to those who support it: you are kicking yourselves. -- We just need to sit back and laugh at people with cash shop items.
(Marvelous economics IQ test!)
+1 for this idea. Want one in my house.
Do it!
But make sure they move around, and groan, and fall over and stuff.
