We asked Yoshida about the reasoning behind making the goobbue mount so easy to obtain. Here are a few of his reasons for this decision:
- The mount is only available for a limited time
- Players that only play as Disciples of the Land and Hand were taken into consideration
- While it's easy for veteran players to obtain, we also considered new players that would want to start playing because they can receive a goobbue
Yoshida also mentioned that future mounts won't be so easy to obtain, so prepare yourselves! Another thing to pay attention to is what our friend the Wandering Minstrel actually says about it when you obtain it.

Yeeeaaah, not.
I want a Doblyn mount named Tanaka.
Future mounts will require players to talk to 2 NPCS in Ul'dah. Also you will need to trade 5 moko grass to finish the quest.
Okay, we will get different mounts anyway. I want a Fat Chocobo.
Edit: Oh damn, sorry its from FF, okay I want a cookie monster then.

Goobbue (which to many peoples surprise is an FF creation) that can in fact walk around on it's own two legs or http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7-Wf-...eature=related .....yes i wonder which would be more ridiculous, then comes the clipping issues with the bocos head going through the floor.
Your sig hurts my eyes because I don't understand what he is saying at all.
It was another classic FFXIV forum post. Someone arguing they were over charged, 100 people told them they weren't, spent time calling support, found out they were an moron, we all laughed. Good times, good times.
