I tried floor 51-60 with around +35 gear. The mob hits hard lol.
I'm now at 40+ gear, but I figure it won't make much diff still.
With this gear level, won't I just be a liability to the team when playing in 51-60?

If anybody gives you crap for having low Aetherpool, then you're better off not being in the party with them. Yes mobs are going to hit hard, yes you might hit like a wet noodle, but people really won't care most times. You'll hit 60/60 quickly enough that it won't matter much in the long run

What I'd suggest is spamming floors 50-60 for a little bit. You can just keep resetting your progress. Another option is to use both save files to your advantage. Start one until you reach floor 70, then do a fresh one before continuing. That way you bump up your aetherpool.
