About the looks of the new raid gear

Ok, I'm just asking, as I woud like to know if there's more people with a similar opinion to me.

Is the general taste of the raid armors getting worse and worse?

I mean, to me, the models from Coil were pretty cool, at least most of them.

I didn't really like Alexander models... Maybe a bit the ones from Midas, but the were generally quite inferiour to coil (To my taste)


And now, I can't help but feel that Square has managed to achieve a new level on ugliness.

They look just abhorrent.


So, what are your thoughts? I would like to remark that I'm talking just about raid-gear (So, in Stormblood, Omega)

i like the ideal behind the sets... but the tank gear looks like I'm smuggling Roegadyns in to battle

Normal mode gear always looks way worse than savage due to a poor color scheme.

I cant understand who thought its a good idea to make every set for every job look exactly the same. And its uninspired samurai armor for EVERY job, SE if i want to play sam and wear sam armor, i will play sam and wear sam armor, why every job looks like sam armor now?

Agreed 100%.

And here I thought we'd either get some new Allagan gear or something futuristic/cyberpunk or even semi-related to Omega's raid design... nope. Looks like Coil and Second Coil will remain as the top designed raid gear.

It fits the theme of Stormblood very well... However they are the ugliest sets i've ever seen in this game to date.

Savage gear will looks better, like alexander creator: better color and more details on the savage gear.

Clearly they are based on real world Samurai armor.

Only they have absolutely terrible helms oh GOD.
