Leveled both already. A bard is hardly a ranger and a gambling corsair or pure non-support gunner isn't what machinist is. They don't scratch that itch

Bard is literally Ranger but more. It even has Barrage.
Meanwhile Gunner/Musketeer is Machinist. The job only has one support skill and it's Dismantle. The rest are role skills.
Melee and magic DPS also have support in their role skills so they're not alone.

It's just an aesthetic issue for you.

Exactly it's an aesthetic issue. Which is what most of differences in classes boil down to when you get down to it. I don't really see why that's a problem though making more jobs for similar roles but with more clearly defined abilities to set them apart. It could really just be that I still wish we had dedicated support jobs that mattered and had their own role in party comp

I think that beast master isn't themed after ffxi it more like many people want keep they pet permantly. people like pets and fight side by side with tiger and coeurl would be awesome
