    I want the Viking!

    I know that the Warrior already uses the Viking style, but we really lack DDs with heavy Weapons. Great Swords and Axes are tank weapons, so i would like to see a melee DD with a giant Hammer! we lack blunt weapons too, btw. so i guess that alone is enough excuse to bring the Viking, despite we already have the Warrior o.o/

    Hmm, new jobs.....

    Chemist....it'd need a new name in order to avoid confusion with Alchemist. I'd still stick to my concept for a bazooka-user here.

    Dancer....getting the impression that no matter what it is, what role it is, or what it can do, it's still going to upset people. One of the few jobs that could potentially fit every role, and with Yoshi's reasoning of delaying the job because he wanted it "just right", I could see that this is still a job that would take more time.

    Beastmaster....the problem is people keep looking to FFXI, and as Samurai proved, that's not what we'd likely get, especially given the current state of the pet control system for the ARC trio. If anything for this job, I'd want less of a tamer and more of Tarzan, wildly swinging a pair of clubs while using a ram horn to temporarily call in beasts for attacks. This would also tie in any other desires for a Berserker-like job that Warrior doesn't already provide.

    Geomancer....I still see the Hingan Geomancers from the AST questline like the Ishgardian Astrologians from ARR: not what we'd get, because in theme (not looking at the placeholder stuff), they are nothing more than the Conjurer class with a fresh coat of paint. If a Geomancer job was to be brought in, I'd still expect it to revolve around a theme of magnetism or anything that would be able to isolate their theme from that of Conjurer and White Mage.

    Necromancer....pretty sure Yoshi mentioned wanting it, although the Mhach storyline kinda makes them look like just BLMs on steroids. Not only would they have to be designed to avoid that factor, but also be palatable to places where the game is sold that has laws against depictions of the undead.

    Blue Mage....nah, still don't see it happening. Even though I've made multiple concepts for it, I'm still convinced it won't happen given not only how most people seem to want it, but also Yoshi's multiple statements explaining why it simply couldn't happen.

    At this point, I'd be much happier seeing completely new jobs rather than the past lives that a better portion of players seem to want to cling to. Tradition is good, but it should never interfere with genuine innovation.

    Everything will be "more interesting and fun" as a DPS. People tend to like being DPS more. That's exactly why the DPS queues are many times longer than healers and tanks.

    Healers and tanks want some high-profile and unique classes too.

    As for TP healer, the TP in this game have a "sweet spot" where the output is the same as input. As in, where using the skill that uses that TP will not make the TP bar go up or down. If the healer would depend on TP for the basic heals primarily, with only few bigger effects, it's possible to make a healer with unlimited healing sustainability. If you go barely over that "sweet spot", you get a healer with pretty fixed amount of healing casts instead. Adding some MP-based skills to the global cooldown will give that extra time for TP regeneration, like is the case for Red Mage. Going under it, and the healer can provide standard heals indefinitely, all the while regenerating TP lost for bigger skills here or there. In that respect, it is much easier to balance than an MP oriented healer, since you can make long, gruesome battles that need a lot of healing over a long time and the healer will still manage to keep up. Except, such battles would be far more demanding on other healers, so it's not like they'll be made...

    ENOUGH DPS for the time being like seriously...
    Dancer as healer and even though Geomancer was mentioned in the Astro Questline i feel like it would be too similar.
    Tank i guess can be anything, blu or Beastmaster maybe or how about something never introduced yet to a FF game, what that can be i have no ideas.. lol

    I like see beast master with a whip beast master could get permission for beastmen that are good to tame they choose beast that they use for mounts such as the drake I away thought how beastmaster could be apply that the size of beast set role of the beast
    small like rabbit and squrriel are range dps
    medium like couerl and tiger drake aswell melee dps
    large like tricetops to mammoth tanks

    geomancer could be a healer use elemental to heal

    blue mage I can see this happen as tank job if all the spell are more use to keep the blue mage tank ability going. it could be dodge center tank where it magic help increase it chance to dodge attacks.
    with blue magic spell come for beastmen and the like the blue mage could start out with zero magic have spell that increase it mana for every time it dodge mobs attacks and it spell could increase it mana supply

    the beastmen could be the blue mage teacher

    Hi this is Tyrian. I have been trying to join in this discussion for a while now, 3 days in fact and my suggestions and comments appear to be being ignored. I have quoted people and mentioned in lots of posts that I require help in balancing the skill sets of the classes. But haven't been replied to once.     Learn is a tough nut to crack but there are a metric ton of ways to do it. I've seen a lot of good concepts on the forums, I think what is stopping them is Blue is wildy popular and how people expect the class to behave too widly varied.

    bard and ranger

    mch and corsair/pirate

    dark and sworddancer(dps)

    samurai and tank samurai?

    Paladin and Blademaster (dual wielding sword dps)

    warrior and berserker (dual wield axes dps)

    rdm and runefencer (magic tank)

    drg and lancer? (1handed spear + shield tank) oh and give drg a wyvern! i miss my FFXI wyvern

    nin and thief(instead of ninjutsu they get more abilities like trick attacks, sneak attacks like FFXI that transfer aggro and debuffs)
