Request to change BGM in Rhaglrs reach? Spoiler kinda

i should just be blunt and say the liberation-y inspired music for rhalgrs reach is...well..its complete garbage, its one of the few places i go out of my way to mute the game for when i enter the zone.

However, there is another BGM that plays in rhalgr, shortly after it gets attacked, i love that music, its sad, deep and heartfelt. i want that to be the music in rhalgr all the time, but i cant, and am stuck with that crap they have now.


Would just be nice to cycle through it so i can pick which one i want, since it feels like a waste of BGM to have it only available at certain parts in the story

Now, im not asking to force a change to the BGM to be one or the other...im asking for a toggle option so we can CHOOSE, so for those that actually like the current music, can keep it the way it is. but for those of us that think its awful and would prefer the superior BGM that theyve already had play there, we can as well

Its one of the most beautiful tracks in Stormblood, imo.

Agree for different reasons. The daytime music is really jarring and uses pretty obnoxious instruments, very much like Idyllshire's daytime music. It's hard to relax and chill to it. I do my tomestone business in RR and get out as soon as I can.

The nighttime Rhalgyr's Reach music though, can be 24/7.

I feel like that would really cheapen the piece. It was meant to build atmosphere after so many comrades were murdered... if it's just playing every time I go to get a new Genta armor, that would be really dumb.

I dont feel like it would do that at all.
Infact i feel like it would be a Greater reminder of what happened and wont let us forget anytime soon.




plus, a side note anyway im asking mainly for QoL reasons, not story reasons. so a toggle wouldnt ruin immersion for those who dont want it played constantly

I agrre only because of what user yeakama said, these are supposed to be hub zones where the mayority of endgame players chill, the music is imo good and alll but the intrument and the piece itself is very inconfotable to hear for over 4m-10m-30m-1h in a row without it becoming obnoxious the same thing was with adilshire infact I think they used the same instruments or similar they both are equally annoying after 1 or 2 min just makes me instead of chilling at the hub zone just chill at my house which is less social if that's their plan I don't why they can't make it like revenant tool, is just this very high pitch noice all the time. is like hearing the same 5 notes on a electric guitar full blast for over 30 min is just annoying.

We might get Rhalgr's Ruin once more. Consider that we still have to deal with an imperial counterattack, most likely. As of right now, the triumphant anthem that we have is more than suitable. Spirits are high, the music should be too.

I prefer the current themes, both day and night, over Rhalgr's Ruin, as it just doesn't make sense to play 24/7.

Rhalgr's Ruin as an orchestrion roll is the way to go.
