Hey guys,

Now, I've noticed that SE are implementing cross-realm LS's, FC's, friend lists, etc. They are clearly pushing in the direction of more cross-realm interaction. Here's the thing, currently you can only play with each other cross-realm in instanced duty, so here's my proposition.

Allowing a way to enter the overworld of other realms, so let's say you play on Louisoix, you could join a friend on Odin. You simply add them to party, and then right click their name and "Transfer to realm". Once you leave the party, you will be instantly transported back to your own realm (in this case Louisoix).

There will be a few limitations though.
  • Certain mobs won't be targetable (perhaps make it the Elite hunt mobs that can't be targeted, so you can do FATEs together at least?).
  • You will not be able to buy housing on realms other than your own realm (but you will be able to visit housing in other realms)
  • You will not be able to interact with the marketboards of other realms (but you may be able to trade with players there, I'll have to consider that one). if you try to interact with the marketboard on another realm it will just treat it as if you were still on your realm

What do people think to this? Would it make a nice expansion on the cross-realm stuff they're planning? I also think it would ignite a fire on smaller realms and help populate them, because you can have housing and still do most of your stuff with friends. So smaller realms will populate, more people will engage with them, and the population can be more evenly spread.

Let me know as well what other features you'd like to see.
