Yep, that healer design contest winner looks just about as awful as I imagined it would.

The healer one looks fine, IMO. The biggest problem is SE's designs for the rest of them. They were handed a piece of paper with a miniskirt on it, and their interpretation of it for other classes has the god-awful butt curtains they put on everything for 5 out of 6. They need to find the person on their gear design team with a trenchcoat fetish and terminate them immediately.

All I'm gonna say is... *starts beat*
Turtleneck and chains
Healing DRK is literally... the same since ShB. The reason why people think it's a meme to heal nowadays because DRK receives very little to no buff to their sustainability vs 3 other tanks getting something useful. If you're capable of healing DRK back in ShB (or any tanks), then you'll heal EW DRK just fine.
Well that gear is hideous. Just another gear set to get an immediately glamour it away.
I hope they don't F up the necromancer gear that won the Caster contest.

I think the gear is cute on certain shapes, I'm just unconvinced it will be cute on bigger characters where the skirts/butt capes drown all of the detail out and clip through mounts in horrifying ways. But I always thought it would be a tough design to adapt for less cute characters. The caster contest set is where all of my fashion hopes lie.
(Are those little goggles for one of the sets? Can they be visored?)

I just got done playing the ff12 remaster a few weeks ago, will be cool to see 14's rendition of Rabanastre, and what looks like the Garamsythe Waterway. The gear doesn't look too bad, I'm not big on glamour, but I don't see the correlation. Is it from Tactics? One of the few ff games I haven't played.

Terrible gear designs...as great as ffxiv is the gear design has been getting worse over the years. There's no originality to them. Everything has to be lazy coat or robe, and those shoes...
Also would love to see the instance raid area as an actual zone we could visit outside the raid..if it's there already let us visit
The one really positive thing is they finally drew a female roegadyn, thank you for listening for appreciating all of your races again![]()

I was imagining earlier that if they were going to implement Dancer, it would be nice to make it as a second job after Pugilist (like they did with Arcanist) so we will have Dancer and Monk that come from Pugilist, since they're both so similar. Monk being the melee DPS and Dancer being the melee healer.
Unless I'm misstaken, I believe the developers have gone on record saying they're never gonna repeat what they did with Arcanist (2 jobs branching off from one class), if only because it's a absolute nightmare to balance thanks to the skill overlap between the roles.I was imagining earlier that if they were going to implement Dancer, it would be nice to make it as a second job after Pugilist (like they did with Arcanist) so we will have Dancer and Monk that come from Pugilist, since they're both so similar. In all likelyhood, they'll be maintaining the current model that any new jobs introduced will be independant from a Class, and start at a specific level, instead of 1 (as a means of allowing people to catch up faster)

Shame, because I really like the idea of starting dancer at lvl 30, oh wellUnless I'm misstaken, I believe the developers have gone on record saying they're never gonna repeat what they did with Arcanist (2 jobs branching off from one class), if only because it's a absolute nightmare to balance thanks to the skill overlap between the roles.
