Prioritize FC Houses over Personal Houses in Transfers/Purchases

Smaller servers might not care, but there's some serious problems with housing on the populated servers, namely Balmung and Gilgamesh.

Please, for the love of heaven, given the FCs a one week head start over personal housing purchases. This is going to make this process absolute hell if we need to compete with every FC AND every individual.

What would be the countermeasure for FC that splinter off into small groups with around 4 people for the sole purpose of buying a house?

Unfortunately there is not a good answer for this. If you limited it to FC's it would simply be exploited via FC creation.

I think they were considering this but like Loki said, that just means a bunch of people will hurry up and create an FC to bypass the restrictions.

In fact making smaller fcs then gives players the ability to own a personal fc house and a personal house making things even worse...

But then you have to think about the fact you would be alienating people who do have homes that want to move to the new area. I get your idea but it's no different than allowing current owners access first except you're playing the sympathy card because you said "homeless" in your comment.

While many FCs did hope they would allow a transfer, I wasn't planning on it NOR did I think it would be as great as what they have devised. I'm sure I'm not the only one who worked to get up or already had the gil to buy a similar size home or upgrade to something larger.

So either way you cut it, this affords anyone and everyone who can an opportunity to purchase a home. You just have to decide, do you go for the new area that will be swamped with probably EVERYONE OR do you hangout in one of the old wards for a house that does get transferred?

Think of it this way.

Player A has a large house. Player B has no house.

Under your suggestion, player B buys a mansion. Now 50 millions get spent and one more player gets a house.

Under SE's plan, player A buys a mansion in Shirogane and pays 45 millions (using discount) and player B buys player A's old mansion for 50 millions. Again, one more player gets a house but 95 millions leave the circulation.

Since housing is meant as a gil sink, the second option makes more sense.

In terms of fairness, we have thousands(?) of homeless players competing for a Shirogane plot. Throw in the hundreds of existing homeowners into the mix would barely make a difference, especially since many homeowners will not bother trying at all.

You might as well Shirogane FC-house exclusive because even an one hour head start would be enough to wipe out the wards.

And like many have already said, with at least two weeks until October, many people can literally start a new FC and take it to rank 6.
